Cooperative Spectrum Sensing With Location Information
IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2012In this paper, we address the problem of cooperatively detecting a primary user (PU) among multiple cognitive users (CUs) when their location information is available at a CU base station. For fast detection, each CU reports a power estimate, based on one-snapshot observation of the radio environment, to the CU base station.

Cooperative spectrum sensing in LTE networks
2014 IEEE 27th Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (CCECE), 2014Expanding the new technologies such as Long Term Evolution (LTE) has caused spectrum scarcity. Spectrum sensing can help LTE find other available frequencies to use as secondary user. There are many solutions to enhance the spectrum sensing. In this paper, we are looking at frequency bands in TV broadcasting spectrum as a suitable candidate to be used ...

Cooperative spectrum sensing with noncoherent transmission
2012 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2012The problem of decision fusion for cooperative spectrum sensing in cognitive radio networks is studied when noisy fading channels are present between the cognitive radios (CRs) and the fusion center (FC). The CRs perform spectrum sensing using energy detection and transmit their binary decisions to the FC for a final decision on the absence or presence

An energy-efficient cooperative spectrum sensing
2015 IEEE International Black Sea Conference on Communications and Networking (BlackSeaCom), 2015In this work, the energy consumption in the cooperative spectrum sensing is analysed. The analysis also covers the detection quality assessment and the definition of the energy efficiency (EE) metric. It is shown how cooperation among the sensing nodes affects the EE and how relaying of sensing information and node selection influences the detection ...

Sensor Selection for Cooperative Spectrum Sensing
2008 3rd IEEE Symposium on New Frontiers in Dynamic Spectrum Access Networks, 2008This article considers spectrum-on-demand in a cellular system. A communication system that wants to access spectrum to which it does not own a license must perform spectrum sensing to identify spectrum opportunities, and to guarantee that it does not cause unacceptable interference to the license owner.

Detection of Misbehavior in Cooperative Spectrum Sensing
MILCOM 2013 - 2013 IEEE Military Communications Conference, 2013The problem of cooperative spectrum sensing in the presence of multiple classes of honest and misbehaving cognitive radios (CRs) is investigated. The CRs transmit their binary decisions regarding the state of the channel to a fusion center (FC) which must classify the CRs and determine whether the channel is vacant of the primary user.

Cooperative spectrum sensing with incremental relaying
Telecommunication Systems, 2019In this article, we suggest a new Spectrum Sensing (SS) algorithm using Incremental Relaying (IR). In previous studies, the relays always cooperate in the SS process. However, sometimes the Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) of the direct link between the Primary User (PU) and the Fusion Node (FN) is high and cooperation is not required.

Cooperative spectrum sensing with relay selection
Telecommunication Systems, 2017In this paper, we evaluate the detection and false alarm probabilities for relay based spectrum sensing techniques using the energy detector. The communication process consists of two phases. In the first phase, the primary user P transmits and K relays listen.

Cooperative spectrum sensing with Slepian-Wolf coded cooperations
2012 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2012A new Slepian-Wolf coded cooperation scheme is proposed for a cognitive radio network with two secondary users (SUs) performing cooperative spectrum sensing through a fusion center (FC). The SUs sense the spectrum by measuring the energy statistics of the received signals.
