Sensor Selection for Cooperative Spectrum Sensing
2008 3rd IEEE Symposium on New Frontiers in Dynamic Spectrum Access Networks, 2008This article considers spectrum-on-demand in a cellular system. A communication system that wants to access spectrum to which it does not own a license must perform spectrum sensing to identify spectrum opportunities, and to guarantee that it does not cause unacceptable interference to the license owner.

Detection of Misbehavior in Cooperative Spectrum Sensing
MILCOM 2013 - 2013 IEEE Military Communications Conference, 2013The problem of cooperative spectrum sensing in the presence of multiple classes of honest and misbehaving cognitive radios (CRs) is investigated. The CRs transmit their binary decisions regarding the state of the channel to a fusion center (FC) which must classify the CRs and determine whether the channel is vacant of the primary user.

Cooperative spectrum sensing with incremental relaying
Telecommunication Systems, 2019In this article, we suggest a new Spectrum Sensing (SS) algorithm using Incremental Relaying (IR). In previous studies, the relays always cooperate in the SS process. However, sometimes the Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) of the direct link between the Primary User (PU) and the Fusion Node (FN) is high and cooperation is not required.

Cooperative spectrum sensing with relay selection
Telecommunication Systems, 2017In this paper, we evaluate the detection and false alarm probabilities for relay based spectrum sensing techniques using the energy detector. The communication process consists of two phases. In the first phase, the primary user P transmits and K relays listen.

Cooperative spectrum sensing with Slepian-Wolf coded cooperations
2012 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2012A new Slepian-Wolf coded cooperation scheme is proposed for a cognitive radio network with two secondary users (SUs) performing cooperative spectrum sensing through a fusion center (FC). The SUs sense the spectrum by measuring the energy statistics of the received signals.

Distributed allocation of the sensing times for cooperative spectrum sensing
2012 International Conference on Computing, Networking and Communications (ICNC), 2012In cognitive radio systems, the sparse assigned frequency bands are opened to secondary users. We consider the sensing of the frequency spectrum for cognitive radios, based on energy detection. It has been shown that the sensing reliability can be improved by using several cooperating cognitive radios that exchange their individual sensing information ...

Cooperative Spectrum Sensing Technique
2007 International Conference on Wireless Communications, Networking and Mobile Computing, 2007Cognitive Radios (CRs), which sense the spectrum and implement opportunistic sharing when no licensed user is found to use it, are able to improve the efficiency of spectrum. Spectrum sensing must be firstly solved in CRs. Cooperative sensing can make good use of network resources, obtain higher gain and make the network steadier. In this paper we give

A Random Censoring Scheme for Cooperative Spectrum Sensing
2011 IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference - GLOBECOM 2011, 2011In this paper, we develop a new scheme to effectively detect the primary signal in a cognitive radio (CR) network. We propose a packet transmission scheme with random censoring. The proposed scheme, known as Censored with Probability Fusion Method~(CPFM), controls the information exchange in cooperative spectrum sensing so as to improve the detection ...

Research on Cooperative Spectrum Sensing Algorithm
2017The rapid development of wireless communication brings us convenience as well as scarcity of radio spectrum resources. Hence, scientists proposed cognitive radio technology to solve this problem. Spectrum sensing is a pivotal technology protecting primary users from interference of secondary users in cognitive radio, and can be achieved by different ...

Cooperative Spectrum Sensing with Feedback
2009 5th International Conference on Wireless Communications, Networking and Mobile Computing, 2009One of the main objective of spectrum sensing is to detect spectrum opportunity quickly and accurately. Both of the two aspects can be improved by hardware upgrading and software optimization. In this paper, we concentrate on sensing accuracy, which, differs from previous solutions, will be enhanced by modification of network topology.
