(−)-Sparteine copper(II) diacetate

Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 2000
The chiral nitrogen-chelating alkaloid (−)-sparteine acts as a bidentate ligand, reacting with copper(II) acetate in ethanol to form the title complex, [Cu(CH3COO)2(C15H26N2)], with the two acetate groups occupying the remaining coordination sites in a monodentate fashion to produce a distorted four-coordinate tetrahedral structure.

Homobinuclear Complexes of Copper(II) with Copper(II) Thiocarbohydrazones

Synthesis and Reactivity in Inorganic and Metal-Organic Chemistry, 1986
Abstract Copper(II) binuclear complexes of copper(II) thiocarbohydrazones were prepared by reacting copper(II) acetate with copper(II) thiocarbohydrazones in ethanol. All the complexes are bright green in colour and appear to be non-electrolytes in DMF. Elemental analyses conform to the 1:1 stoichiometry of the type CuL.Cu(OAc)2.

Histidine-Copper (II) Complexes

Nature, 1959
STABILITY constants are known for copper complexes of most of the naturally occurring α-amino-acids. However, although it is of considerable biochemical interest, the copper–histidine system has not been interpreted in detail. The system is anomalous, probably because, although the metal can co-ordinate to the amino, imidazole or carboxyl groups in ...

Synthesis and magnetic studies of oxalato-bridged copper(II)–chromium(III)–copper(II) and copper(II)–iron(III)–copper(II) heterotrinuclear complexes

Polyhedron, 2003
Abstract The strategy of “complex as ligand” allowed us to synthesize three new μ-oxalato-bridged heterotrinuclear complexes identified as [Cu2Cr(ox)3(Mephen)2]ClO4 (1), [Cu2Fe(ox)3(Mephen)2]ClO4 (2) and [Cu2Fe(ox)3(Me2bpy)2]ClO4 (3), where ox represents the oxalato dianions; Mephen and Me2bpy stand for 5-methyl-1,10-phenanthroline and 4,4′-dimethyl ...

Synthesis, spectra and biomimetic properties of copper(II)–copper(II) and copper(II)–zinc(II) binuclear complexes with CuN5 chromophores

Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2005
X-band electron spin resonance (ESR) and UV-vis spectra of a homobinuclear [(Bipy)2Cu-E-Im-Cu(Bipy)2](BF4)3 and a heterobinuclear [(Bipy)2Cu-E-Im-Zn(Bipy)2](BF4)3 complexes, E-Im=2-ethylimidazolate ion have been described as possible models for superoxide dismutase (SOD).

Copper(II)–8-mercaptoquinoline, copper(II)–5,8-dimercaptoquinoline and copper(II)–5-thiomethyl-8-mercaptoquinoline complexing in a copper(II)hexacyanoferrate(II) gelatin-immobilized matrix

Transition Metal Chemistry, 2000
Novel complexing processes in the CuII–8-mercaptoquinoline, CuII–5,8-dimercaptoquinoline and CuII–5-thiomethyl-8-mercaptoquinoline systems proceeding in the copper(II)hexacyanoferrate(II) gelatin-immobilized matrix in contact with aqueous solutions of the ligands indicated, have been studied.
