Further Findings on the Intergenerational Transmission of Alcohol Consumption

open access: yesHealth Economics, Volume 35, Issue 7, Page 1056-1072, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Using 43,817 parent–child pairs from 23 waves of the HILDA Survey, I study the intergenerational transmission of alcohol use within a rational model of trait transmission. Transmission is predominantly same‐sex: the mother–daughter elasticity is 0.10 and the father–son elasticity is 0.09; there is no father–daughter effect.

Early Phase Dose‐Finding Designs for CAR‐T Cell Therapies

open access: yesPharmaceutical Statistics, Volume 25, Issue 4, July/August 2026.
ABSTRACT Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR)‐T cell is an immunotherapy which revolutionised the treatment of relapsed/refractory lymphoma and leukaemia. It is shown to have a higher response rate, higher mid‐to‐long term overall survival, and lower toxicity than standard treatments.

Novel Distance Regression for Repeated Outcomes With Missing Data: Applications to Longitudinal and Crossover Studies of Microbiome Beta‐Diversity

open access: yesStatistics in Medicine, Volume 45, Issue 15-17, July 2026.
ABSTRACT The human microbiome plays a crucial role in health, but understanding its dynamic relationship with the host requires regular monitoring. Beyond challenges such as high dimensionality and sparsity, additional complexities arise, particularly within‐cluster correlation from repeated measures and pervasive missing data. To address these issues,
