Involvement of bradykinin B2 receptor in pathological vascularization in oxygen-induced retinopathy in mice and rabbit cornea [PDF]
The identification of components of the kallikrein-kinin system in the vitreous from patients with microvascular retinal diseases suggests that bradykinin (BK) signaling may contribute to pathogenesis of retinal vascular complications. BK receptor 2 (B2R)

A comprehensive embryonic staging series of the turtle Trachemys scripta
Abstract Background Turtles hold a unique place in vertebrate evolutionary history, making them critical assets in embryology research. Yet, they remain understudied as potential model organisms in the field. Here, to support experimental manipulations with turtle embryos, we have created a complete normal table of development for comprehensive ...

Impaired fas-fas ligand interactions result in greater recurrent herpetic stromal keratitis in mice [PDF]
Herpes simplex virus-1 (HSV-1) infection of the cornea leads to a potentially blinding condition termed herpetic stromal keratitis (HSK). Clinical studies have indicated that disease is primarily associated with recurrent HSK following reactivation of a ...
