A Phosphorylation‐Induced Micellization Switch in the Low‐Complexity Domain of TDP‐43
Phosphorylation of TAR DNA‐binding protein's 43 kDa (TDP‐43) low‐complexity domain by casein kinase 1 delta (CK1δ) acts as a molecular switch, redirecting its self‐assembly from macroscopic phase separation toward finite‐sized, spherical block‐copolymer micelles of ∼30 nm.

Numerical analysis of discharge gap related fluctuations in a cylindrical positive discharge corona
An efficient technique was used to model corona discharges without incorporating flux corrections. A position-state separation (POSS) technique was employed to solve the convection-dominated continuity equations prevalent in designing efficient corona ...

ABSTRACT Atrial fibrillation (AF) increases the risk of stroke and heart failure, yet accurate quantification of AF burden in daily life remains difficult. Although smartwatch photoplethysmography (PPG) supports continuous monitoring, complex rhythms and signal noise can impair burden estimation.

Sterol engineering enables precise control of mRNA lipid nanoparticles by tuning membrane organization. Replacing cholesterol with bile acid‐derived sterols redirects protein expression from the liver to the spleen. Notably, CA‐20 LNP enhances antigen‐specific immune responses while exhibiting a favorable safety profile, highlighting sterols as a ...

Maximizing the Energy Output of Soft Electrohydraulic Generators
Many energy resources cannot be viably harvested with electromagnetic generators. This article evaluates the potential of soft electrohydraulic generators as an alternative approach for energy capture. An analytical model charts their operational limits and a rigorous experimental study results in new performance benchmarks with maximum specific energy

Effects of a negative corona discharge on subsequent positive streamers
Positive streamers can be affected significantly by preceding discharges such as earlier streamers or a corona discharge. In this paper, we primarily discuss the effect of such a corona discharge on subsequent positive streamers with different intervals ...

Photo‐Gated Corona Microfluidics
Photo‐gated corona microfluidics decouples optical programming from electric‐field actuation to enable reconfigurable manipulation on open, electrode‐pattern‐free surfaces. Near‐infrared irradiation locally melts paraffin, creating a reversible charge‐relaxation pathway that reconstructs the electric field.
