The Corona Theorem as an Operator Theorem [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1978
We provide a short proof of a theorem of W. B. Arveson in operator theory. The conclusion of this theorem is the same as that of the Corona Theorem but the hypotheses are operator theoretic. Our proof yields an exact value for the constant involved. We also comment on this theorem as a new approximation problem.

Bactericidal effect of corona discharges in atmospheric air [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The present paper explores the possibilities of using impulsive and steady-state corona discharges for bio-decontamination operations. A high tension tubular corona electrode was stressed with positive or negative dc voltage with magnitude up to 26 kV ...

The triggered behavior of a controlled corona stabilised cascade switch [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Corona stabilised switches have been shown to have advantages in pulse power switching applications due to their high repetition rates and low jitter.

A matricial corona theorem II [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 2007
We extend the “matricial corona theorem” of M. Andersson to general algebras of functions which satisfy a corona theorem.

On the Corona Theorem on Smooth Curves [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Geometric Analysis, 2018
We prove the corona theorem for domains whose boundary lies in certain smooth quasicircles. These curves, which are not necessarily Dini-smooth, are defined by quasiconformal mappings whose complex dilatation verifies certain conditions. Most importantly we do not assume any "thickness" condition on the boundary domain.

A matricial corona theorem [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 2006
We show that a usual corona-type theorem on a space of functions automatically extends to a matrix version.

From ℋ∞ to 𝒩. Pointwise properties and algebraic structure in the Nevanlinna class

open access: yesConcrete Operators, 2020
This survey shows how, for the Nevanlinna class 𝒩 of the unit disc, one can define and often characterize the analogues of well-known objects and properties related to the algebra of bounded analytic functions ℋ∞: interpolating sequences, Corona theorem,

Computational and theoretical modeling of the transmission dynamics of novel COVID-19 under Mittag-Leffler Power Law

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2020
In the current article, we studied the novel corona virus (2019-nCoV or COVID-19) which is a threat to the whole world nowadays. We consider a fractional order epidemic model which describes the dynamics of COVID-19 under nonsingular kernel type of ...

Bi-parameter Potential theory and Carleson measures for the Dirichlet space on the bidisc

open access: yesDiscrete Analysis, 2023
Bi-parameter potential theory and Carleson measures for the Dirichlet space on the bidisc, Discrete Analysis 2023:22, 58 pp. Carleson measures arise naturally when considering harmonic or holomorphic extensions from the boundary of a domain to the ...

Ruling out COVID-19 by chest CT at emergency admission when prevalence is low: the prospective, observational SCOUT study

open access: yesRespiratory Research, 2021
Background It is essential to avoid admission of patients with undetected corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) to hospitals’ general wards. Even repeated negative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) results do not rule-out COVID-19 ...
