Effects of SADS‐CoV accessory proteins NS3a, NS7a, and NS7b on viral pathogenicity: A multi‐omics investigation

open access: yesiMetaOmics, EarlyView.
This study has elucidated the role of three swine acute diarrhea syndrome coronavirus (SADS‐CoV) accessory proteins in influencing viral pathogenicity and preliminarily explored the host molecular targets and pathways affected by the NS3a, NS7a, and NS7b proteins of SADS‐CoV.

Identification of potential SARS‐CoV‐2 genomic regions representing hallmarks for adaptation to different hosts

open access: yesiMetaOmics, EarlyView.
The k‐mer‐based pipeline, namely the Pathogen Origin Recognition Tool using Enriched K‐mers (PORT‐EK) identifies genomic regions enriched in the respective hosts after the comparison of multi‐genomes of isolates between different host species. The enriched k‐mer counts, which may serve as a potential marker, enable the classification and prediction of ...

Mathematical modeling of the spread of the coronavirus under strict social restrictions

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView., 2021
We formulate a simple susceptible‐infectious‐recovery (SIR) model to describe the spread of the coronavirus under strict social restrictions. The transmission rate in this model is exponentially decreasing with time. We find a formula for basic reproduction function and estimate the maximum number of daily infected individuals.
