Wavelet Coherence Analysis of Plasma Beta, Alfven Mach Number, and Magnetosonic Mach Number during Different Geomagnetic Storms [PDF]
We study the variation in plasma beta, Alfven Mach number, and magnetosonic Mach number during different geomagnetic storms of solar cycles 23, 24, and 25.

Influence of Solar Wind High‐Speed Streams on the Brazilian Low‐Latitude Ionosphere During the Descending Phase of Solar Cycle 24 [PDF]
This study investigates the Brazilian low‐latitude ionospheric response to CIR/HSS‐driven geomagnetic storms during the declining phase of solar cycle 24, from 2016 to 2017.

The effect of a tilted-dipole three-dimensional corotating interaction region (CIR) on the transport and acceleration of solar energetic particles (SEPs) is studied. In this work, we discussed how the particle intensity longitudinal and radial dependence

A comparison of three types of ionosonde data from Europe during an interplanetary coronal mass ejection (ICME)- and a corotating interaction region (CIR)-driven geomagnetic storm event is detailed in this study. The selected events are 16–20 March 2015 for the ICME-driven storm and 30 May to 4 June 2013 for the CIR-driven one.

On acceleration of <1 MeV/n He ions in the corotating compression regions near 1 AU: STEREO observations [PDF]
Observations of multi-MeV corotating interaction region (CIR) ions are in general consistent with models of CIR shock acceleration and transport. The presence of suprathermal particles near 1 AU in unshocked compression regions is not adequately ...

Impact of ICME- and SIR/CIR-Driven Geomagnetic Storms on the Ionosphere over Hungary
We investigate the differences between the effects of geomagnetic storms due to Interplanetary Coronal Mass Ejections (ICME) and due to Stream Interaction Regions or Corotating Interaction Regions (SIR/CIR) on the ionospheric F2-layer during the maximum ...

Development of substorm bulges during different solar wind structures [PDF]
Using data from WIND spacecraft, we investigated the difference in substorm bulge development during different types of solar wind flow: solar wind recurrent streams (RS), corotating interaction regions (CIR), magnetic clouds (MC), and the region of ...

Properties of Forbush Decreases with AMS-02 Daily Proton Flux Data
A Forbush decrease (FD) is a sudden reduction of Galactic Cosmic Rays (GCRs) that is usually caused by intense solar wind transients, such as Interplanetary Coronal Mass Ejections (ICMEs) and Corotating Interaction Regions (CIRs).

Predictive Capabilities of Corotating Interaction Regions Using STEREO and Wind In‐Situ Observations
Solar wind stream interaction regions (SIRs) and corotating interaction regions (CIRs) can cause geomagnetic storms and change energetic particle environment, ionospheric composition on Earth.
