Software Source Code Correlation

5th IEEE/ACIS International Conference on Computer and Information Science and 1st IEEE/ACIS International Workshop on Component-Based Software Engineering,Software Architecture and Reuse (ICIS-COMSAR'06), 2006
The degree of correlation between the source code of different software programs is important for uncovering plagiarism, trade secret theft, copyright infringement, and patent infringement. Other uses include locating open source code within a proprietary program and determining common authorship of different programs.

On joint source-channel decoding for correlated sources

IEEE International Conference on Acoustics Speech and Signal Processing, 2002
Whenever digital communications is subject to constraints in delay and complexity, some residual redundancy remains after source coding. Shannon's separation theorem does not hold strictly and hence joint source-channel decoding is beneficial.

Optimum beamformer in correlated source environments

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2006
A new method for overcoming signal cancellation problems due to correlated interferences which occur in a minimum variance distortionless response beamformer is proposed. Instead of decorrelating the correlated interferences, the coherently combining signal-to-interference plus noise ratio (CC-SINR) beamformer regards them as replicas of the desired ...

Modal expansion for J_0-correlated electromagnetic sources

Optics Letters, 2008
We introduce a class of sources that turn out to be J0 correlated in a scalar description but exhibit varied correlation properties when examined in electromagnetic terms. We prove that a modal expansion can be built explicitly for any of these sources and give an example to illustrate the richness of their behavior.

Field correlations within a Bessel-correlated spherical source

Journal of the Optical Society of America A, 1988
The spatial field correlations within a Bessel-correlated spherical source with large size parameter (radius much greater than the wavelength) are investigated. Exact expressions for the field spectral density, in terms of a partial-wave series, as well as for the magnitude of the complex degree of spectral coherence (correlating the field at an ...

Joint source-channel coding for broadcasting correlated sources

2016 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT), 2016
We consider the lossy transmission of a memoryless bivariate Gaussian source over an average-power-constrained bandwidth-mismatched Gaussian broadcast channel with two receivers where each receiver is interested in only one component. We propose new hybrid digital/analog coding schemes which are demonstrated to outperform the previously known schemes.

Sparse blind source separation for partially correlated sources

2014 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP), 2014
Blind source separation (BSS) is a very popular technique to analyze data which can be modeled as linear mixtures of elementary sources. Standard approaches generally make the assumption that such sources are statistically independent or at least uncorrelated.

Feedback and Correlated Sources

2018
In this section, we shall see a special property of the AVC, which is that feedback increases the capacity. If noiseless feedback exists, a message is encoded to a function \(f^n=(f_1,\dots ,f_n)\) for \(f_1\in {\mathcal X}\) and \(f_t:{\mathcal Y}^{t-1}\rightarrow {\mathcal X}\), \(t=2,\dots ,n\), instead of a fixed codeword \(u\in {\mathcal X}^n ...

Partially correlated sources with complete polarization

Optics Letters, 2008
We show that the correlation matrix of any electromagnetic planar source endowed with complete polarization must be of a universal form, no matter how the field components are correlated across the source plane. Such form entails that both the realizability conditions and the search of vector modes of the source reduce to scalar problems. We shall also

Lattice-Based Robust Distributed Source Coding for Three Correlated Sources

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2019
In this paper, we propose a lattice-based robust distributed source coding system for three correlated sources and provide a detailed performance analysis under the high resolution assumption. The analysis implies, among other things, that for the degenerate case where the three sources are identical Gaussian, the performance of our scheme is close to ...
