Image Retrieval Based on Coefficient Correlation Index

open access: yesIbn Al-Haitham Journal for Pure and Applied Sciences, 2017
Image retrieval is an active research area in image processing, pattern recognition, and computer vision. In this proposed method, there are two techniques to extract the feature vector, the first one is applying the transformed algorithm on the whole

A Log-Adjusted Residual Approach for the Correlation Estimation Under Complex Distortion Scenarios

open access: yes
The correlation coefficient serves as a key metric in statistical analysis, however, its estimation may be affected by the bias when confounding variables introduce additive distortion errors.

Pearson's Correlation Coefficient [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

AN EXHAUSTIVE COEFFICIENT OF RANK CORRELATION [PDF]

open access: yes
Rank association is a fundamental tool for expressing dependence in cases in which data are arranged in order. Measures of rank correlation have been accumulated in several contexts for more than a century and we were able to cite more than thirty of ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

The Common Mistake In Choosing The Appropriate Statistical Method For Calculating Reliability By Test And Re-test

open access: yesمجلة العلوم و التكنولوجية للنشاطات البدنية و الرياضية
This study aimed to identify the statistical methods used in calculating reliability by test and re-test by presenting three models with a comparison between them by calculating each of the Pearson correlation coefficient ( R ) and the intraclass ...

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

An Analytical Study on the Correlations Between Natural Gas Pipeline Network Scheduling Decisions and External Environmental Factors

open access: yesEnergies
A pipeline network is an important transportation mode of natural gas, and different external factors will affect the development of natural gas scheduling plans to different degrees.
