Renormalization in the neural network-quantum field theory correspondence
International audienceA statistical ensemble of neural networks can be described in terms of a quantum field theory (NN-QFT correspondence). The infinite-width limit is mapped to a free field theory, while finite N corrections are mapped to interactions.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Counting dyons in N=4 string theory
We present a microscopic index formula for the degeneracy of dyons in four-dimensional N=4 string theory. This counting formula is manifestly symmetric under the duality group, and its asymptotic growth reproduces the macroscopic Bekenstein-Hawking ...

Integrability, susy SU(2) matter gauge theories and black holes
We show that previous correspondence between some (integrable) statistical field theory quantities and periods of SU(2) N=2 deformed gauge theory still holds if we add Nf=1,2 flavours of matter. Moreover, the correspondence entails a new non-perturbative

An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Comments on a state-operator correspondence for the torus [PDF]
We investigate the existence of a state-operator correspondence on the torus. This correspondence would relate states of the CFT Hilbert space living on a spatial torus to the path integral over compact Euclidean manifolds with operator insertions ...

Contraction Consistent Stochastic Choice Correspondence [PDF]
We model a general choice environment via probabilistic choice correspondences, with (possibly) incomplete domain and infinite universal set of alternatives. We offer a consistency restriction regarding choice when the feasible set contracts.

Quantum analytic Langlands correspondence
The analytic Langlands correspondence describes the solution to the spectral problem for the quantised Hitchin Hamiltonians. It is related to the S-duality of $\mathcal{N}=4$ super Yang-Mills theory. We propose a one-parameter deformation of the Analytic

Coherence and correspondence in engineering design [PDF]
I show how the coherence/correspondence distinction can inform the conversation about decision methods for engineering design. Some engineers argue for the application of multi-attribute utility theory while others argue for what they call heuristics. To

Allamah Ṭabaṭabai’s View on Nafs Al-Amr: An Ontological Basis for the Correspondence of Proposition
One of the most prevalent critics of correspondence theory of truth is the scope it contains. The objection is that the proponents of this theory could solely apply their theory of truth to some limited domain−which has something to correspond to− like ...
