Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Evolution of cosmic string configurations [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1993
We extend and develop our previous work on the evolution of a network of cosmic strings. The new treatment is based on an analysis of the probability distribution of the end-to-end distance of a randomly chosen segment of left-moving string of given length.

Cross‐Modal Denoising and Integration of Spatial Multi‐Omics Data with CANDIES

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this paper, we introduce CANDIES, which leverages a conditional diffusion model and contrastive learning to effectively denoise and integrate spatial multi‐omics data. We conduct extensive evaluations on diverse synthetic and real datasets, CANDIES shows superior performance on various downstream tasks, including denoising, spatial domain ...

Investigations of the degree of asymmetry across the dayside magnetopause under southward interplanetary magnetic field using GEOTAIL observations

open access: yesEarth, Planets and Space
The magnetic reconnection environment around the dayside geomagnetopause under long-lasting southward interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) conditions is investigated using the in-situ observation by GEOTAIL satellite from 1994 to 2019.

Modified gravity with an exponential function of curvature

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2020
The role of an exponential function of the scalar curvature in the modified gravity is analyzed. Two models are proposed. A toy model that complies with local and cosmological constraints and gives appropriate qualitative description of the cosmic ...

Highly Efficient and Environmentally Stable Radiative Cooling Fabric: Integrating Photoluminescence and Hierarchical Core–Shell Fibers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A scalable radiative cooling fabric engineered with a multi‐layer assembly core–shell structure and integrated photoluminescent materials is reported. The fabric exhibits remarkable environmental stability, including UV resistance, mechanical durability, hydrophobicity, stain resistance, thermal stability, and flame retardancy, demonstrating its ...

Probing the gravitational wave background from cosmic strings with the alternative LISA-TAIJI network

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2023
As one of the detection targets of all gravitational wave detectors today, the stochastic gravitational wave background (SGWB) provides an important means of understanding the evolution of our universe.

Test of the cosmic evolution using Gaussian processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Much focus was on the possible slowing down of cosmic acceleration under the dark energy parametrization. In the present paper, we investigate this subject using the Gaussian processes (GP), without resorting to a particular template of dark energy.

SpaMode: A Broadly Applicable Framework for Deciphering Spatial Multi‐Omics Using Multimodal Mixture of Disentangled Experts

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SpaMode introduces a versatile framework for spatial multi‐omics integration across vertical, horizontal, and mosaic scenarios. By disentangling modality‐invariant and variant features through a mixture‐of‐experts mechanism, it adaptively reconfigures spatially heterogeneous signals.
