Messengers of the Universe-Cosmic Rays Exploring Supermassive Black Holes

open access: yesGalaxies, 2020
Cosmic rays were discovered over one hundred years ago but there are still unsolved problems. One of the hot problems is the origin of cosmic rays of the highest energies.

X-Ray Binaries: A Potential Dominant Contributor to the Cosmic-Ray Spectral Knee Structure

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
“PeVatrons” refer to astrophysical sources capable of accelerating particles to energies of ∼PeV and higher, potentially contributing to the cosmic-ray spectrum in the knee region.

Comparative Study of the Dynamics of Cosmic Rays for the Pakistan and China Atmospheric Regions

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical and Fundamental Sciences, 2020
This paper presents an analysis of cosmic ray intensity in Pakistan air space using spatial interpolation, comparing it with Chinese cosmic ray records from 1984 to 1993.

On Cosmic Rays Sources

open access: yes, 2008
Study of astrophysical objects with strong dipolar magnetic fields show that the spectrum of the accelerated charged particles leaving the sources has a power law form with exponent -2.5, where the exponent is calculated on purely geometrical bases and is independent on the particle species.

Primordial Cosmic Ray Sources [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 1969
New gamma ray observations have provided what may be evidence for primordial cosmic ray sources existing out to redshifts of the order of 100. These sources may be galaxies and quasars in their initial stages of formation. They may have provided the basic energy source for ionizing the intergalactic gas.

Multiproxy Chronologies of the Hurd Rock Glacier (Livingston Island, South Shetland Islands, Maritime Antarctica): Between the Late‐Stage Stabilization and Flow Deceleration

open access: yesPermafrost and Periglacial Processes, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Hurd Rock Glacier, located on Livingston Island (South Shetland Islands archipelago, Maritime Antarctica), is a tongue‐shaped feature composed of angular boulders, displaying transverse ridges and furrows, and featuring lobate structures, which are more prominently developed in its frontal sector.

Cosmic ray contributions from rapidly rotating stellar mass black holes: cosmic Ray GeV to EeV proton and anti-proton sources

open access: yesFrontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences
In Radio Super Novae (RSNe) a magnetic field of (B × r) = 1016.0±0.12 Gauss × cm is observed; these are the same numbers for Blue Super Giant (BSG) star explosions as for Red Super Giant (RSG) star explosions, despite their very different wind properties.

The Evolution of Autonomous Systems for Planetary Cave Exploration: A Review

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The exploration of Subsurface Access Points (SAPs), such as lava tubes on the Moon and Mars, has gained significant interest due to their potential as stable environments shielded from surface radiation and temperature extremes. These sites are considered high‐value targets for detecting water and signs of ancient life, and assessing their ...

Average value of the cosmic ray injection exponent at Galactic sources

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
The energy spectrum of high energy cosmic rays emitted by sources change during propagation in the Galaxy. Using the spectrum observed at the Earth and two different transport models, based on anomalous and normal diffusion equations, we have retrieved ...

Do the LHAASO Galactic diffuse emission data require a contribution from unresolved sources? [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
The Large High-Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO) collaboration has recently measured the ultra-high energy gamma-ray diffuse emission (10 − 103 TeV) after masking the contribution of known sources.
