Cosmology from cosmic shear power spectra with Subaru Hyper Suprime-Cam first-year data
We measure cosmic weak lensing shear power spectra with the Subaru Hyper Suprime-Cam (HSC) survey first-year shear catalog covering 137deg$^2$ of the sky.

We present a new setup at the FIGARO horizontal neutron reflectometer enabling simultaneous measurement of the structural and mechanical properties of liquid interfaces, combining neutron reflectometry with interfacial shear rheology. The study of the structure and mechanical properties of complex fluid interfaces has attracted growing interest in ...

Illuminating dark energy with cosmic shear
One of the principal goals of modern cosmology is to constrain the properties of dark energy. At present, numerous surveys are aiming to determine the equation of state, which is assumed constant due to our poor understanding of its behaviour (and since higher order parameterisations lead to unwieldy errors).

We present cosmological constraints from the Dark Energy Camera All Data Everywhere (DECADE) cosmic shear analysis. This work uses shape measurements for 107 million galaxies measured through Dark Energy Camera (DECam) imaging of $5,\!412$ deg$^2$ of sky

Cosmic Shears Should Not Be Measured In Conventional Ways [PDF]
A long standing problem in weak lensing is about how to construct cosmic shear estimators from galaxy images. Conventional methods average over a single quantity per galaxy to estimate each shear component.

When Thriving for More Collapses the System: The Academic Reproduction of Uncaring Structures
Abstract This essay argues that the widening gap between aspirational aims and visionary orientations and the prevailing practices in neoliberal academia stems from deeper, historically rooted, market‐based logics shaping our institutions, increasingly governed by economic values and academic subjectivities therein.

3D Weak Gravitational Lensing of the CMB and Galaxies [PDF]
In this paper we present a power spectrum formalism that combines the full three-dimensional information from the galaxy ellipticity field, with information from the cosmic microwave background (CMB).

We summarize the current state of knowledge on the age of the Middle Pleistocene ice advances into northern central Europe and provide 25 new single‐grain feldspar luminescence ages of Elsterian and Saalian glacigenic sediments to constrain the age of the ice advances and their tentative correlation with marine isotope stages/substages.

Testing f(R) Gravity from Cosmic Shear Measurements
In this work, we perform a detailed analysis to constrain the Hu–Sawicki f ( R ) gravity model, using cosmic shear data from three prominent Stage-III weak lensing surveys: Dark Energy Survey Year 3, KiDS-1000, and Hyper Suprime-Cam Year 3. To accurately
