Some topics concerning analysis on metric spaces and semigroups of operators [PDF]
This is a brief survey which reviews some traditional themes in harmonic analysis and some more recent areas of activity, connected to "analysis on fractals" in particular.

Discounting in cost-benefit analysis [PDF]
There is much disagreement about the discount rate. The prescriptive approach derives the discount rate from utility functions, growth models and ethical considerations. The descriptive approach stresses the opportunity cost of capital, but struggles to define which market rates to average.

Introductory Clifford Analysis [PDF]
This paper is an elaboration of an introductory talk given by the author at a workshop on Clifford algebras at Tennessee Technical University, in May 2002. We give an introduction to the basic concepts of Clifford analysis, including links to harmonic analysis, Fourier analysis and conformally flat manifolds.

Three open problems in analysis [PDF]
Three open problems in analysis are formulated: 1. Injectivity of Radon transform 2. A uniqueness problem for an elliptic system of PDE 3.

Some remarks about Clifford analysis and fractal sets [PDF]
Although Clifford analysis is like complex analysis in many ways, there are obvious differences related to noncommutativity, and a few aspects of this are considered here.

Benefit–cost analysis of a low-impact development design
The urban development increase in the built-up areas leads to more impervious areas with the consequence of larger runoff. Undeniably, this excess water has many benefits.

Notes from a course taught by Palle Jorgensen in the fall semester of 2009. The course covered central themes in functional analysis and operator theory, with an emphasis on topics of special relevance to such applications as representation theory, harmonic analysis, mathematical physics, and stochastic integration.
