The secreted redox sensor roGFP2‐Orp1 reveals oxidative dynamics in the plant apoplast

open access: yesPlant Biology, EarlyView.
Using the secreted redox biosensor roGFP2‐Orp1, we reveal differences in extracellular (apoplastic) oxidative processes between and within species, depending on cell type and immune signalling. Abstract Specific generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) is important for signalling and defence in many organisms. In plants, different types of ROS serve

The tasiR‐ARF pathway in plants: origin, functions, and interplay of miR‐390, tasiRNAs and ARF3

open access: yesPlant Biology, EarlyView.
Trans‐acting small interfering RNAs that silence a subset of Auxin Response Factors are crucial for plant growth, developmental timing, proper organ patterning, and coping with stress. Abstract Trans‐acting small interfering RNA (tasiRNAs) are a special type of endogenous small RNAs (sRNAs) found only in plants.

Exploring the genetic diversity of the IPK Medicago germplasm collection using GBS

open access: yesPlant Biology, EarlyView.
Genotyping‐by‐sequencing of 1234 accessions from the Medicago collection of the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK) revealed broad genetic diversity across 40 species, providing one of the first genus‐wide insights into relationships between both cultivated and wild species of Medicago.

Enhancing restoration of a generalist seagrass: seed processing and germination improvements for Ruppia maritima

open access: yesRestoration Ecology, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction Seagrass meadows, composed of submersed aquatic vegetation (SAV), are changing due to climate change, increasing the need for adaptive restoration approaches such as incorporating native species that thrive under new environmental regimes.
