EDTA‐Functionalized Nanoscale Metal–Organic Framework for Onco‐Cardiology via Radiochemotherapy Synergy and Spatiotemporally Matched Iron Chelation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Doxorubicin (DOX)‐induced cardiotoxicity is a major limitation to its broader clinical application, while cardioprotective interventions often risk reducing the anticancer efficacy of DOX. To address these challenges, this work constructs an EDTA‐functionalized metal–organic framework that enhances tumor therapy and provides efficient cardioprotection ...

4-Hydroxy-3-[(2E)-3-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)prop-2-enoyl]-2H-chromen-2-one

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2009
A new chalcone of the coumarin, C21H18O7, containing an annulated α-pyrone ring, was obtained by condensation of the borate complex of acyl(hydroxy)coumarin with trimethoxybenzaldehyde.

Metarhizium anisopliae Mitigates the Phytotoxicity of Lead and Nanoplastics on Rice by Modifying Physiological, Transcriptomic, Metabolomic Activities, and Soil Microbiome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Metarhizium anisopliae alleviates the phytotoxic effects of polyethylene nanoplastics (NP) and lead (Pb) in rice by decreasing Pb uptake, restoring antioxidant and hormonal equilibrium, and promoting growth. Additionally, the fungus modifies the rhizosphere microbiota, enhancing both contaminant tolerance and plant growth, thereby effectively ...

DFT Calculations and Mesophase Study of Coumarin Esters and Its Azoesters

open access: yesCrystals, 2018
Two groups of coumarin derivatives, 4-methyl-2-oxo-2H-chromen-7-yl 4-alkoxybenzoates (coumarin esters), In, and 4-methyl-2-oxo-2H-chromen-7-yl 4-(2-(4-alkoxyphenyl)diazenyl) benzoates (coumarin azoesters), IIn, were synthesized and investigated for their

One‐Step Glycoengineering of NK Cells With High‐Affinity Siglec Ligands for Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops an engineered NmCSS enzyme with improved activity for bulky group modified sialic acids, enabling efficient synthesis of structurally diverse sialoside analogs in a single step. Glycan microarray screening identified Siglec high‐affinity ligands, which were incorporated onto natural killer (NK) cells via a one‐pot enzymatic system ...

Illuminating Mitochondrial RNA G‐Quadruplexes as Structural Brakes on RNA Granule Assembly and OXPHOS

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new fluorescent probe, MitoQUMA, brings mitochondrial RNA G‐quadruplexes (mtRNA G4s) into view in live cells. This tool reveals that excessive mtRNA G4 formation halts mitochondrial RNA granule (MRG) assembly, opposite to the phase‐separation role of cytoplasmic RNA G4s. A chemical genetic screen further identifies a Wnt/β‐catenin–GRSF1–mtRNA G4 axis

Coumarin structure as a lead scaffold for antibacterial agents - molecular docking

open access: yesBiologica Nyssana, 2016
Coumarins owe their class name to “Coumarou”, the vernacular name of the tonka bean (Dipteryx odorata Willd, Fabaceae), from which coumarin was isolated in 1820.

Coumarin Ameliorates Impaired Bone Turnover by Inhibiting the Formation of Advanced Glycation End Products in Diabetic Osteoblasts and Osteoclasts

open access: yesBiomolecules, 2020
Accumulating evidence demonstrates that the risk of osteoporotic fractures increases in patients with diabetes mellitus. Thus, diabetes-induced bone fragility has recently been recognized as a diabetic complication. As the fracture risk is independent of
