Parasitic Plant–Host Interactions: Molecular Mechanisms and Agricultural Resistance Strategies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 16, 18 March 2026.
Parasitic plants devastate global agriculture through sophisticated molecular interactions with host crops. This review synthesizes current understanding of parasitic plant‐host interactions, from strigolactone‐mediated germination and haustorium formation to host defense mechanisms.

ROS‐Responsive Wedelolactone Hydrogel Promotes Intervertebral Disc Repair by Disrupting the NF‐κB–LCN2 Inflammatory Feedback Loop

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 14, 9 March 2026.
A mechanically robust, ROS‐responsive hydrogel is engineered to treat intervertebral disc degeneration by targeting the NF‐κB–LCN2 inflammatory feedback loop. By delivering wedelolactone specifically within oxidative niches, this system disrupts macrophage–disc cell crosstalk.

Intramolecular Synergy of CO2 Activation and H Spillover on Heteronuclear Dual‐Metal Phthalocyanine Assemblies for Selective CO2 Photoreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 14, 9 March 2026.
The CuNiPc/BiVO4 heterojunction is designed and synthesized for selective CO2 photoreduction. The cascade interfacial Z‐scheme charge transfer and the intramolecular synergy of Cu–Ni dual sites on CO2 activation and H spillover contribute to the high photocatalytic performance and selectivity. ABSTRACT Solar‐driven CO2 conversion holds great promise in

Development of a Cholesteric Liquid Crystal Comprising a Mesogenic Fluorophore for Circularly Polarized Luminescence With a High Dissymmetry Factor

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
A cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) mixture incorporating a mesogenic fluorophore enables exceptionally high luminophore loading (∼50 wt%) while maintaining LC alignment, leading to circularly polarized luminescence with a high dissymmetry factor (|glum| = 1.25) even in thin cells (2 µm).
