In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

A discrete Stochastic Korovkin theorem

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1991
In this article we give a sufficient condition for the pointwise −− in the first mean Korovkin property on B0(P), the space of stochastic processes with real state space and countable index set Γ and bounded first moments.

Characterizing Subgroups of Compact Abelian Groups

open access: yes, 2004
We prove that every countable subgroup of a compact metrizable abelian group has a characterizing set. As an application, we answer several questions on maximally almost periodic (MAP) groups and give a characterization of the class of (necessarily MAP ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Common Solution for a Finite Family of Equilibrium Problems, Inclusion Problems and Fixed Points of a Finite Family of Nonexpansive Mappings in Hadamard Manifolds [PDF]

open access: yesSahand Communications in Mathematical Analysis
In this paper, we present an iterative algorithm and prove that the sequence generated by this algorithm converges strongly to a common solution of a finite family of equilibrium problems, the quasi-variational inclusion problem and  the set of common ...

Stationary countable dense random sets [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Applied Probability, 2000
We study the probability theory of countable dense random subsets of (uncountably infinite) Polish spaces. It is shown that if such a set is stationary with respect to a transitive (locally compact) group of symmetries then any event which concerns the random set itself (rather than accidental details of its construction) must have probability zero or ...

Addendum to "countable algebra and set existence axioms"

open access: yesAnnals of Pure and Applied Logic, 1985
Proof. (1) + (2) is given on p. 163 of [l]. (2) j (3) is trivial. (3) j (1). We shall use Lemma 3.2 of [l]. Let f, g :N +-N be given with Vi, j ((f(i) # go’)) and f, g both one-to-one. Let R, = Q[x,, : n EN] be the polynomial ring over the rationals with

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
