Stress and coping in couples facing infertility

Current Opinion in Psychology, 2017
Infertility presents an ideal setting for examining how stress impacts couple relationships. The effect of facing fertility problems on couple relationships is highly varied. Traditional stress and coping models are limited, because they do not account for partner interdependence.

Stress functions for plane problems with couple stresses

Drag in couple stress fluids

Zeitschrift für angewandte Mathematik und Physik ZAMP, 1978
A general expression is derived for the drag experienced by an axially symmetric body in the slow steady flow of Stokes' couple stress fluids. The result is compared with that obtained for micropolar fluids and then applied to the particular case of flow past a sphere.

Dislocations in Couple‐Stress Elasticity

Journal of Mathematics and Physics, 1966
Abstract : The equations of linear couple stress elasticity are used to find stress distributions due to the simple edge and screw dislocations in a hollow circular cylinder. The stress fields resulting from the edge dislocation are found to deviate considerably from their classical values as the radius of the dislocation core approaches the ...

Linear Elasticity with Couple Stresses

2010
The linear couple-stress theory of Mindlin and Tiersten is reformulated allowing also for dislocations and disclinations. The governing equations are compiled in form of a Tonti diagram.

Coupled Thermoelastic-Plastic Stress Analysis

1986
One of a few natural phenomena that have been known to us as long as our civilization is that the shapes of matters change when they are heated up. Simple methods for computing the thermal dilatation of solids induced by temperature changes are taught in most elementary schools.
