Forces and Couples, Stress and Couple Stress Tensors in Micropolar Continua
2012In this chapter using the balance of momentum and balance of moment of momentum (Euler’s laws of motion) we introduce the stress and couple stress tensors. Then we derive the motion equations of the micropolar continuum which contains the motion equations of simple (non-polar) continuum as a special case.

Our sample included 82 couples living in a stepfamily context. Data were collected using structured telephone interviews and twice-daily questionnaires for a period of 1 week.

Current Opinion in Psychology, 2017Infertility presents an ideal setting for examining how stress impacts couple relationships. The effect of facing fertility problems on couple relationships is highly varied. Traditional stress and coping models are limited, because they do not account for partner interdependence.

A series of boundary-value problems are solved to indicate the effects of couple stresses as well as for experiments measuring the various material constants. It is found that a size effect comes in which is not present
