PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...

Modified A-Source Converter Operating at Lower Voltage Stress

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The coupled inductor based Z-source converter produces higher voltage gain with lower number of components count. In this paper, a new two winding mutually coupled inductor based Z-source DC-DC converter is proposed to boost the voltage gain.

Design and analysis of an inductor-less cross-coupled voltage equalizer

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2020
To equalize the imbalance in the state-of-charge (SoC) of lithium-ion cells, we propose a novel inductor-less cross-coupled voltage equalizer for series-connected batteries.

Averaged dynamics of a coupled-inductor boost converter under sliding mode control using a piecewise linear complementarity model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
An averaged model of a coupled-inductor boost converter using the piecewise complementarity model of the converter under sliding motions is obtained. The model takes into account the idealized voltage–current characteristic of passive switches (diodes ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Interleaved ZVS DC‐DC converter with ultrahigh step‐down and flexible gain

open access: yesIET Power Electronics
This paper proposes a novel non‐isolated ultrahigh step‐down interleaved DC‐DC converter with an extremely extended duty cycle based on the series capacitor and coupled‐inductor techniques. The proposed converter utilizes a three‐winding coupled inductor

Modelling and control of a multi-stage interleaved DC-DC converter with coupled inductors for super-capacitor energy storage system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Interleaved converters with coupled inductors are widely used to share load current in high power applications. It offers high equivalent switching frequency and reduced output current ripples using small size magnetic components.

Inhibiting stearoyl‐CoA desaturase suppresses bone metastatic prostate cancer by modulating cellular stress, mTOR signaling, and DNA damage response

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Input-parallel output-series DC-DC boost converter with a wide input voltage range, for fuel cell vehicles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
An input-parallel, output-series DC-DC Boost converter with a wide input voltage range is proposed in this paper. An interleaved structure is adopted in the input side of this converter to reduce input current ripple.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
