Existence results for a coupled system of nonlinear fractional multi-point boundary value problems at resonance

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2018
By using the coincidence degree theory, we present an existence result for a coupled system of nonlinear fractional differential equations with multi-point boundary conditions at resonance.

Nonlinear pi phase shift for single fiber-guided photons interacting with a single atom

open access: yes, 2014
Realizing a strong interaction between individual optical photons is an important objective of research in quantum science and technology. Since photons do not interact directly, this goal requires, e.g., an optical medium in which the light experiences ...

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Initial Measurements with the PETsys TOFPET2 ASIC Evaluation Kit and a Characterization of the ASIC TDC

open access: yes, 2018
For a first characterization, we used the two KETEK-PM3325-WB SiPMs each equipped with a 3x3x5 mm${}^3$ LYSO scintillation crystal provided with the PETsys TOFPET2 ASIC Evaluation Kit.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Probabilistic (ω,γ,ϕ)-contractions and coupled coincidence point results

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2021
In this paper, we introduce the notion of probabilistic $ (\omega, \gamma, \phi) $-contraction and establish the existence coupled coincidence points for mixed monotone operators subjected to the introduced contraction in the framework of ordered Menger $ PM $-spaces with Had${\rm{\mathord{\buildrel{\lower3pt\hbox{$\scriptscriptstyle\smile$}} \over z} }

Coupled coincidence point result in partially ordered generalized metric spaces

open access: yesTamkang Journal of Mathematics, 2012
The present study introduces the notion of compatibility in partially ordered G-metric spaces and uses this perception to establish a coupled coincidence point result. Our effort extend the recent work of Choudhary and Maity [B. S. Choudhary, P. Maity, Coupled fixed point results in generalized metric spaces, Mathematical and Computer Modelling 54 ...

Efficient single-spatial-mode periodically-poled KTiOPO_4 waveguide source for high-dimensional entanglement-based quantum key distribution

open access: yes, 2012
We demonstrate generation of high-purity photon pairs at 1560 nm in a single spatial mode from a periodically-poled KTiOPO_4 (PPKTP) waveguide. With nearly lossless spectral filtering, the PPKTP waveguide source shows approximately 80 % single-mode fiber

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Coupled fixed point theorems for (α, φ)g-contractive type mappings in partially ordered G-metric spaces

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2015
In this paper, we introduce a new concept of (α, φ)g-contractive type mappings and establish coupled coincidence and coupled common fixed point theorems for such mappings in partially ordered G-metric spaces.
