Dispersion in coupled transmission lines
Proceedings of the IEEE, 1980Propagation of time harmonic waves in a system of coupled transmission lines with losses is being considered. Such a system is usually dispersive. In a special case, a condition for dispersionless propagation is derived, which is a generalization of the known condition for uncoupled lossy lines.

Coupling in some edge-coupled microshield transmission lines
IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. Digest. Held in conjunction with: USNC/CNC/URSI North American Radio Sci. Meeting (Cat. No.03CH37450), 2004Using the finite-difference time-domain (FD-TD) method in the Cartesian coordinate system, the coupling effects in some (a)symmetrical edge-coupled V-shape and trapezoidal microshield transmission lines (MTLs) are studied. The hybrid effects of different geometrical parameters of the MTLs and the permittivity of the filling materials on the coupling ...

Electromagnetic Coupling to Transmission Lines
Electromagnetics, 1988Abstract Three aspects of the problem of electromagnetic interaction with transmission lines are reviewed. The various source terms appearing in the transmission line equations are discussed, including the coupling of common to differential mode. The interaction of an electromagnetic pulse with above-ground multi-conductor power lines is treated ...

Coupled-Mode Analysis of Nonuniform Coupled Transmission Lines
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1969The transmission-line equations describing propagation along coupled transmission lines are cast in coupled-mode form so that the roles of the different coupling coefficients and the impedance variation are more directly observable. Restrictions on the various parameters for obtaining directional coupling with nonuniform lines are then discussed and ...

Transmission-line filters with capacitively loaded coupled lines
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2003Coupled lines with loads at one end, which can create tunable transmission zeros, are studied in this paper. The equation for the transmission zeros is derived from the analysis of even- and odd-mode excitations. Based on this equation, coupled lines with different loads are analyzed and the rules for controlling the transmission-zero frequency are ...

Josephson Transmission Lines Coupling
1991The problem of the matching of a Josephson transmission line (JTL) to external loads presents noticeable difficulties because of the complexity of the nonlinear wave-propagation that takes place in this spatially distributed structure. In a continuum-limit approximation, the equation for a JTL is a sine-Gordon equation containing loss and forcing terms

Nonmutual coupled ferrite transmission lines
Fifth International Conference on Actual Problems of Electron Devices Engineering, 2003Simple expressions for calculation of nonmutual coupling coefficient and transition attenuation for the system consisted of two coupled microstrip transmission lines on common ferrite substrate, and besides on the lines operates in an edge wave mode, are obtained.

Coupled Antennas and Transmission Lines
Proceedings of the IRE, 1943The problem of coupled antennas is reviewed; unbalanced currents in and radiation from transmission lines are discussed briefly and resolved into transmission line and antenna problems. The use of sections of transmission line as coupling links between antennas is discussed qualitatively and illustrated in terms of a colinear array.

Shielded Coupled-Strip Transmission Line
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1955An analysis is made of the odd and even TEM modes on a pair of parallel co-planar strips midway between ground planes. Rigorous formulas are presented for the case of zero-thickness strips, while approximate formulas are given for strips of finite thickness and for strips printed on opposite sides of a thin dielectric sheet supported in air between ...
