On the Design of a Stepped Mixed Signal Transmission Line with Defected Microstrip Structure for High-Frequency PCB Traces

open access: yesJournal of High-Frequency Communication Technologies
The paper addresses the challenge of crosstalk in neighboring paths on PCBs, emphasizing its growing importance with the advancement of electronic circuits in terms of speed and frequency.

Microwave directional couplers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This document contains the study of "Microwave directional couplers". Initiating with a waveguiding system, we are looking for solutions of Maxwell's equations, then we focus on the TEM Transmission Lines and we introduce the microstrip lines that are ...

A "Single-Photon" Transistor in Circuit Quantum Electrodynamics

open access: yes, 2013
We introduce a circuit quantum electrodynamical setup for a "single-photon" transistor. In our approach photons propagate in two open transmission lines that are coupled via two interacting transmon qubits.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Exceptional Points of Degeneracy in Periodic Coupled Waveguides and the Interplay of Gain and Radiation Loss: Theoretical and Experimental Demonstration [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We present a novel paradigm for dispersion engineering in coupled transmission lines (CTLs) based on exceptional points of degeneracy (EPDs). We develop a theory for fourth-order EPDs consisting of four Floquet-Bloch eigenmodes coalescing into one ...

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Millimeter-Wave Lumped Element Superconducting Bandpass Filters for Multi-Color Imaging [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The opacity due to water vapor in the Earth's atmosphere obscures portions of the sub-THz spectrum (mm/sub-mm wavelengths) to ground based astronomical observation.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Theoretical Analysis of the Characteristic Impedance in Metal-Insulator-Metal Plasmonic Transmission Lines

open access: yes, 2012
We propose a closed form formulation for the impedance of the Metal-Insulator-Metal (MIM) plasmonic transmission lines by solving the Maxwell's equations.

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a
