Cohn's filters with parallel-coupled transmission lines and no discontinuities [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
A new method for designing Cohn's parallel-coupled transmission-line filters is introduced. This method is particularly well suited to obtain designs without discontinuities in the junction of the different transmission lines constituting the filter.Peer

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Efficient simulation of interconnects in high-speed circuits [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The paper presents an efficient approach for the simulation of interconnects in high-speed circuits based on measured data or simulated EM data. The approach involves forming an initial transmission-line model based on a resonant approach introduced by ...

A New Class of High-Selectivity Bandpass Filters With Constant Bandwidth and 5:1 Bandwidth Tuning Ratio

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper presents a design for compact bandpass filters (BPFs) that feature high selectivity. This high selectivity is achieved through the use of open-/short-circuited coupled-line segments at the filter’s input and output and a pair of ...

From energy provision to protein synthesis: Tunnelling nanotubes as mediators of intercellular metabolic cooperation in cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The cytoskeleton‐mediated transport of mitochondria via tunnelling nanotubes restores respiration, increases ATP production, rescues cells from apoptosis, activates the AKT/mTOR signalling pathway, promotes cell migration and invasiveness, contributes to cancer progression and treatment resistance.

Multiple Order Dual-Band Active Ring Filters with Composite Right/Left Handed Cells

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, a novel dual-band active filter topology is presented. The non-linear phase response of a composite right/left-handed cell is used to achieve the desired dual-band performance.

Effectiveness of rTMS on Working Memory and Inhibitory Impairments in Patients With Post‐Stroke Executive Deficits

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Considerable efforts have been dedicated to developing effective treatments for post‐stroke executive impairment (PSEI), among which repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) has shown great potential. This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects of high‐frequency rTMS on working memory (WM) and response ...

A VHDL-AMS Based Time Domain Skin Depth Model for Edge Coupled Lossy Transmission Stripline

open access: yes, 2005
This contribution presents a time-domain model of the skin depth effect in a lossy transmission line. The model was developed and implemented in VHDL-AMS for a two wire edge coupled line but it is general and can be used for other types of lossy ...

Early Clinical, Imaging, and Pathological Characteristics of SRPK3/TTN‐Digenic Myopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy was recently established as a skeletal muscle myopathy caused by digenic inheritance. This study characterizes the early clinical presentation of SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy in one previously reported and seven newly identified pediatric patients.

Plasma EV Proteomics Identifies ECM Remodeling and Inflammatory Proteins LUM and C7 as Candidate Biomarkers in FSHD

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) is one of the most debilitating and common muscular dystrophies. Despite its severity, no approved therapy exists for FSHD patients. However, several therapeutic candidates are currently under development, and some have recently entered clinical trials, marking the need for reliable ...
