Experimental study of coupled shaft bending - blade umbrella mode vibration of a turbine rotor model
This paper describes an experimental study on the characteristics of blade-shaft coupled bending vibration of a rotor system with a bladed disk. In a rotor with relatively long blades such as low-pressure steam turbines, the coupled vibration of shaft ...

Vibration Isolation of a Surveillance System Equipped in a Drone with Mode Decoupling
Vibration isolation with mode decoupling plays a crucial role in the design of an intelligent robotic system. Specifically, a coupled multi-degree-of-freedom (multi-DOF) model accurately predicts responses of system dynamics; hence, it is useful for ...

Flexural–torsional coupled vibration and buckling of thin-walled open section composite beams using shear-deformable beam theory [PDF]
A general analytical model based on shear-deformable beam theory has been developed to study the flexural–torsional coupled vibration and buckling of thin-walled open section composite beams with arbitrary lay-ups.

Coherent exciton dynamics in the presence of underdamped vibrations [PDF]
Recent ultrafast optical experiments show that excitons in large biological light-harvesting complexes are coupled to molecular vibration modes. These high-frequency vibrations will not only affect the optical response, but also drive the exciton ...

The particle-vibration coupling form factor [PDF]
A simple model for calculating the particle-vibration form factor is studied. Explicit expressions of the latter quantity are worked out for various kinds of vibrations, assuming a static, zero range effective interaction. Numerical results for (T=0) and (T =1) octupole vibrations, for Fermi and Gamow-Teller vibrations are given.
