Effect of annular seal on the lateral-axial bi-direction coupled dynamic characteristics of a multi-stage pump wet rotor

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2018
Because of the increasingly rigid and complex operating conditions for multi-stage pumps, the annular seal is playing an important role in determining the dynamic characteristics of a rotor system.

Substructure elimination method for vibration systems governed by a one-dimensional wave equation

open access: yesMechanical Engineering Journal, 2023
This paper presents a vibration analysis using the substructure elimination method for vibration systems governed by a one-dimensional wave equation. The utilization of a one-dimensional continuous body serves as a suitable approach for understanding the

Field Telemetry of Blade-rotor Coupled Torsional Vibration at Matuura Power Station Number 1 Unit [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
The quasi-modal reduction technique and finite element model (FEM) were used to construct an analytical model for the blade-rotor coupled torsional vibration of a steam turbine generator of the Matuura Power Station.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Modeling the vibrational couplings of nucleobases

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics, 2020
Vibrational spectroscopy, in particular infrared spectroscopy, has been widely used to probe the three-dimensional structures and conformational dynamics of nucleic acids. As commonly used chromophores, the C=O and C=C stretch modes in the nucleobases exhibit distinct spectral features for different base pairing and stacking configurations.

Dissimilar Dynamics of Coupled Water Vibrations [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2009
Dissimilar dynamics of coupled stretch vibrations of a water molecule are revealed by two-dimensional IR correlation spectroscopy. These are caused by essentially non-Gaussian fluctuations of the electric field exerted by the environment on the individual OH stretch vibrations.

A Prospective Study of Individuals at Risk of Multiple Sclerosis Informs the Design of Primary Prevention Studies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective In multiple sclerosis, the optimal time for deploying a therapeutic intervention is before the central nervous system is damaged; given the success of trials treating the earliest stage of MS, the radiologically isolated syndrome, developing primary prevention strategies is an important next challenge.
