Quantitative flux coupling analysis
Journal of Mathematical Biology, 2018Flux coupling analysis (FCA) aims to describe the functional dependencies among reactions in a metabolic network. Currently studied coupling relations are qualitative in the sense that they identify pairs of reactions for which the activity of one reaction necessitates the activity of the other one, but without giving any numerical bounds relating the ...

Coupled Behavior Analysis with Applications
IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, 2012Coupled behaviors refer to the activities of one to many actors who are associated with each other in terms of certain relationships. With increasing network and community-based events and applications, such as group-based crime and social network interactions, behavior coupling contributes to the causes of eventual business problems.

Analysis of emitter (source)-coupled multivibrators
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Regular Papers, 2006The popular emitter-coupled multivibrator and its MOS variant are analyzed using the classical discontinuity theory. Accurate formulas for predicting their relaxation oscillation are obtained solving the nonlinear circuit equation, which is derived finding the voltage-current characteristic of the nonlinearity connected to the timing capacitor.

Distributed Polarization and Coupling Analysis of a 3-Coupled-Core Fiber
Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC) 2023, 2023OFDR-based, distributed characterization of polarization and coupling properties of a 3-coupled-core fiber is reported. Results highlight the beating among the supermodes of the fiber, enabling the evaluation of their polarization and modal birefringence.

Perturbation analysis via coupling
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1999The problem of gradient estimation consists in obtaining an estimate of \(J'(\theta)\) from a sample of \(X_\theta\), where \(X_\theta\) is a parameterized random variable, \(\theta\in (a,b)\subset \mathbb{R}\), \(J(\theta)= E[L(X_\theta)]\), \(L(x): \mathbb{R}\to\mathbb{R}\).

Analysis of Strong Coupling in Coupled Oscillator Arrays
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2010Significant improvement in the mutual injection locking range (MILR) and phase noise can be obtained by strengthening the coupling between the oscillator elements in a coupled oscillator array (COA). An analysis of the array properties in the strongly coupled regime is provided in this paper.

An analysis of nonstationary coupled queues
Telecommunication Systems, 2015We consider a two dimensional time varying tandem queue with coupled processors. We assume that jobs arrive to the first station as a non-homogeneous Poisson process. When each queue is non-empty, jobs are processed separately like an ordinary tandem queue.

Coupling detrended fluctuation analysis for analyzing coupled nonstationary signals
Physical Review E, 2011When many variables are coupled to each other, a single case study could not give us thorough and precise information. When these time series are stationary, different methods of random matrix analysis and complex networks can be used. But, in nonstationary cases, the multifractal-detrended-cross-correlation-analysis (MF-DXA) method was introduced for ...
