Analysis of a Possible Coupling in a Thrust Inverter

Revue Européenne des Éléments Finis, 2000
Summary: We study the interaction between the flow in a thrust inverter and a flap playing a central role in flow deviation. The flow is limited by a rather closed vessel, and presents acoustic modes which can be amplified by recirculations. Such modes may interfere with structural modes.

Analysis for metallothioneins using coupled techniques

Talanta, 1998
Analytical chemistry of metallothioneins based on the coupling of a high resolution separation technique with an element or species selective detection technique is discussed. The role of size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) with on-line atomic spectrometric detection for the quantification of metallothionein fraction in cell cytosols is evaluated ...

Analysis of Coupled-Coils

2017
This chapter introduces a design-oriented analysis of various wireless power links driving a resistive load, which include the ideal coupled-coils, the coupled-coils with parasitic resistors, the coupled-coils with series-resonant primary and series-resonant secondary, and the coupled-coils with series-resonant primary and parallel-resonant secondary ...

Sleep Quality Analysis with Cardiopulmonary Coupling

2018 International Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Applications (ICBEA), 2018
Sleep quality is commonly assessed with subject self-reporting, interviews and psychological variables. However, more precise methods comprise estimation of physiological signals where polysomnography is considered to be the gold standard and can be performed to produce qualitative or quantitative measurements regarding the subjects sleep.

Dynamic analysis of a hyperbolic composite coupling

Journal of Sound and Vibration, 2005
A novel hyperbolic composite coupling is proposed. In addition to enjoying the advantages of composite materials, the proposed coupling can be readily integrated with composite drive shaft into a single unit. A mathematical model of the coupling is developed based on the Timoshenko beam theory using the energy approach and the extended Lagrange’s ...

Kinetic analysis of excitation-contraction coupling

Journal of Bioenergetics and Biomembranes, 1989
Recent studies of isolated muscle membrane have enabled induction and monitoring of rapid Ca2+ release from sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR)5 in vitro by a variety of methods. On the other hand, various proteins that may be directly or indirectly involved in the Ca2+ release mechanism have begun to be unveiled.

Parametric analysis of the inductively coupled plasma

Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 1996
A systematic parametric study of an LTE (local thermodynamic equilibrium) mathematical model of pure inductively coupled argon plasma (ICAP) used for spectrochemical purposes was performed by means of computer simulations. The spatial distributions of temperature, gas velocity, magnetic field and energy losses were investigated under typical plasma ...

Static analysis for dynamic coupling measures

Proceedings of the 2006 conference of the Center for Advanced Studies on Collaborative research - CASCON '06, 2006
Coupling measures have important applications in software development and maintenance. They are used to reason about the structural complexity of software and have been shown to predict quality attributes such as fault-proneness, ripple effects of changes and changeability.

Coupled-wave analysis of reflection gratings

Applied Optics, 1981
Diffraction of electromagnetic waves by longitudinally periodic media (reflection gratings) is rigorously analyzed using an exact coupled-wave approach. The analysis is formulated in a simple matrix form easily implemented on a digital computer. The intensities of the two waves, the diffracted (reflected) and transmitted waves, are calculated for a ...

Coupling graphics and circuit analysis techniques

Proceedings of the 4th conference on Design automation - DAC '67, 1967
The purpose of this paper is to describe an application program written by the International Business Machines Corporation to couple the existing Electronic Circuit Analysis Program(1) with the IBM 2250 cathode ray tube display scope. The program which, in this paper, will be referred to as 2250 ECAP is a Type III program available from IBM(2).
