Objective We examined associations of post‐traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental health disorders (OMH) with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), accounting for effects of smoking. Methods We conducted a matched case‐control study, identifying incident RA cases and controls using national Veteran Health Administration data (2006‐2019).

Objective High body mass index (BMI≥27 kg/m2) and aberrant gait biomechanics are primary risk factors for knee osteoarthritis (KOA), yet the specific loading patterns linked to clinical disease features remain unclear. Unsupervised machine learning (ML) was used to identify vertical ground reaction force (vGRF) waveform modes of variation and ...

Observer‐Based Adaptive Event‐Triggered Tracking Control for Fuzzy TS Systems With Premise Mismatch
This paper presents an adaptive logistic event‐triggered observer‐based tracking controller for Takagi‐Sugeno fuzzy systems under constrained inputs and network delays. Leveraging a hybrid LMI and Secretary Bird Optimization approach, this strategy significantly minimizes communication overhead and computational burden while ensuring optimal reference ...

dynoGP: Deep Gaussian Processes for Dynamic System Identification
This work introduces a novel class of deep models for system identification, dynamical deep Gaussian processes, which combine the strengths of data‐driven methods, such as those based on neural network architectures, with the ability to output a probability distribution for uncertainty representation.

ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Coupled Principal Component Analysis
IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, 2004A framework for a class of coupled principal component learning rules is presented. In coupled rules, eigenvectors and eigenvalues of a covariance matrix are simultaneously estimated in coupled equations. Coupled rules can mitigate the stability-speed problem affecting noncoupled learning rules, since the convergence speed in all eigendirections of the

Quantitative flux coupling analysis
Journal of Mathematical Biology, 2018Flux coupling analysis (FCA) aims to describe the functional dependencies among reactions in a metabolic network. Currently studied coupling relations are qualitative in the sense that they identify pairs of reactions for which the activity of one reaction necessitates the activity of the other one, but without giving any numerical bounds relating the ...

Dynamic coupled component analysis
Proceedings of the 2001 IEEE Computer Society Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition. CVPR 2001, 2005We present a method for simultaneously learning linear models of multiple high dimensional data sets and the dependencies between them. For example, we learn asymmetrically coupled linear models for the faces of two different people and show how these models can be used to animate one face given a video sequence of the other.
