Coupling coefficient of resonators—An intuitive way of its understanding
Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part II: Electronics), 2007AbstractA new representation of the coupling coefficient of resonators has been obtained by the authors using the coupled mode theory. In this expression, the coupling coefficient is given by an overlap integral of the electric field and the magnetic field. This expression is extremely useful for explanation of the physical meaning of coupling.

The effective electromechanical coupling coefficient of piezoelectric thin-film resonators
Applied Physics Letters, 2005The input electric impedance Zin for a three-layer thin-film bulk acoustic wave resonator is derived by transfer matrix method to describe the resonator behavior. Based on the impedance spectra, the effective coupling coefficient keff2 of a thin-film resonator can be evaluated with respect to the resonator structure and thin-film properties.

Coupling Coefficient of Irregular Microstrip Resonators
Radiophysics and Quantum Electronics, 2000We prove the equivalence of the resonance and energetic definitions of the coupling coefficient in the case of irregular microstrip resonators. Formulas for calculation of the coupling coefficient of microstrip resonators with stepped width of the strip conductor are derived.

Coupling coefficients of resonators in microstrip model of superlattice
2004 14th International Crimean Conference "Microwave and Telecommunication Technology" (IEEE Cat. No.04EX843), 2004The frequency-dependent coupling coefficients of resonators in the microstrip model of a superlattice were investigated. These coefficients near to the natural frequencies of the structure coincide with coefficients that are calculated by known methods. The calculation corresponds with experimental results obtained for microstrip structures.

Investigation of modified Lamé mode resonator with high coupling coefficient
Journal of Applied Physics, 2020This paper presents a modified Lamé-mode resonator (MLMR) with a high, effective electromechanical coupling coefficient (Keff2). With trapezoidal grooves introduced by etching the superficial piezoelectric material between interdigitated electrodes (IDTs), the MLMR can remarkably improve Keff2, eliminate spurious modes, and reduce the internal stress ...

Simple computation of the coupling coefficient for loop-coupled resonant cavities
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2000A simple procedure is described to compute the coupling coefficient of a resonant cavity that contains a dielectric resonator. The resonant frequency and the unloaded Q are computed from the modal solution without the presence of the loop. An equivalent circuit is obtained for the unloaded cavity, and the loop coupling is represented by a series ...

The calculation methods of coupling coefficient between resonators
ISAPE2012, 2012Three calculation formulas are derived based on the definition of coupling coefficient by three methods, namely, adding electric and magnetic wall method, setting the imaginary part of resistance to zero and S parameter method. The hairpin coupling microstrip resonator module is established and calculation methods is given by using microwave simulation

Features of the coupling coefficients of microstrip irregular quarter-wavelength resonators
2016 13th International Scientific-Technical Conference on Actual Problems of Electronics Instrument Engineering (APEIE), 2016In the present work on the base of modified energy approach a behavior of the frequency-dependent coupling coefficient of pair microstrip stepped-impedance quarter-wavelength resonators was investigated. It is revealed that at a certain gap between the resonators the total coefficient of coupling becomes zero due to mutual compensation of coefficients ...
