Meaning of resonator's coupling coefficient in bandpass filter design
Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part II: Electronics), 2006AbstractIn the design of a bandpass filter, the mutual inductance M and the mutual capacitance Cm between two resonators are needed. In this paper, the speed of energy exchange between the coupled LC resonators is related to M and Cm and is defined as the coupling coefficient. Subsequently, the effective M and Cm are determined by deriving the coupling

FDTD calculation of coupling coefficient between two resonators [band-pass filters]
1998 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest (Cat. No.98CH36192), 2002A coupling coefficient is characterized in the time domain instead of the frequency domain commonly employed. The FDTD method is well suited to its time domain calculation, resulting in a fast and simple procedure. Various techniques unique to time-domain calculation are explained with practical examples.

Separation of coupling coefficient between resonators into electric and magnetic contributions
Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part II: Electronics), 2006AbstractIt is shown that the coefficient of coupling between resonators can be derived by a perturbation method using the electromagnetic field distributions of uncoupled resonators. This method can be applied if identical resonators are symmetrically placed.

Determination of coupling coefficients by means of a fiber resonator
Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1977We discuss the possibility of observing and measuring coupling among the modes of a multimode fiber by using a fiber resonator. If both the injected and spurious modes are simultaneously at resonance, both modes appear at the resonator output and their power ratio is proportional to the power coupling coefficient.

Equivalent Circuits and Coupling Coefficients of Cavity Resonators
1971Consider a cavity resonator of arbitrary form, with resonance frequency f0 = ω0/2π and unloaded quality factor Q0, coupled with a source of internal impedance Z0 via a waveguide (say, rectangular) of characteristic impedance Z0 (see Fig. 20.1).

We have theoretically investigated a hybrid system that is composed of a traditional optomechanical component and an additional charge qubit (Cooper pair box) that induces a new nonlinear interaction. It is shown that the peak in optomechanically induced transparency has been split by the new nonlinear interaction, and the width of the splitting is ...

We demonstrate the simulation for all-pass microring resonators with integrated Fano resonance to obtain high Free Spectral Range (FSR). The simulation mainly performed to generate high FSR by varying 2 parameters that affect the system which are radius of the ring and distance between end-facet. Furthermore, the analysis is proceeded by a variation of

S parameters six- point method of calculating the coupling coefficient between resonators
Proceedings of the 9th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation and EM Theory, 2010In this paper, S parameter six-point method is presented, and the influence of feeder on the result having been considered is removed when calculating. The microwave network model of coupling resonator with feeder on each side is established. Through theoretical analysis, the expression of calculating the coefficient with the use of the corresponding ...

Investigations of Coupling Coefficients of Resonators in Stripline Filter on Suspended Substrate
2007 17th International Crimean Conference - Microwave & Telecommunication Technology, 2007Coupling coefficients equations of resonators in a stripline filter on a suspended substrate are derived. The influence of design parameters on magnitude and type of interaction between resonators are investigated.

Design of AlN Meshed LCAT Mode Resonators for Coupling Coefficient Beyond BAW
2019 IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (IUS), 2019This work presents a novel resonator structure with meshed-shape aluminum nitride (AlN) body The resonator adopts the concept of laterally coupled alternating thickness (LCAT) mode which closely couple the lateral and thickness resonant modes to improve the effective coupling coefficient (k2eff).
