Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

High coupling efficiency adiabatic near-field transducer for HAMR
The literature reports NFT with size below 1 micron are found to be thermo-mechanically unstable and low coupling efficiency. We demonstrate a 6 μm long adiabatic taper.

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Reliability Study of Fiber Coupling Efficiency of 980 nm Semiconductor Laser
In order to improve the stability of semiconductor laser fiber coupling efficiency, based on the coupling principle, the optimal parameters for semiconductor laser fiber coupling were simulated to be θ = 45°, r = 3.25 μm, and z = 5.65 μm.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Coupling efficiency of the tapered coupler
Analytic solutions, in terms of parabolic cylinder functions, are presented for the mode amplitudes and power in a directional coupler having a constant coupling coefficient and propagation constants that vary linearly. The solutions lead to a remarkably simple expression for the coupling efficiency.
