FGFR Like1 drives esophageal cancer progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and notch signalling: insights from clinical data and next‐generation sequencing analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.

Off-axis injection for storage rings with full coupling

open access: yesPhysical Review Accelerators and Beams, 2018
The next generation of storage ring light sources will likely operate with high linear coupling, which could potentially prevent the use of off-axis injection as large horizontal oscillation of the injected beam is coupled to the vertical plane.

Tunable coupled-mode dispersion compensation and its application to on-chip resonant four-wave mixing

open access: yes, 2014
We propose and demonstrate localized mode coupling as a viable dispersion engineering technique for phase-matched resonant four-wave mixing (FWM). We demonstrate a dual-cavity resonant structure that employs coupling-induced frequency splitting at one of

Evaluation of in vitro toxicity of common phytochemicals included in weight loss supplements using 1H NMR spectroscopy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We investigated the toxicity of 12 active compounds commonly found in herbal weight loss supplements (WLS) using human liver and colon cell models. Epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate was the only compound showing significant toxicity. Metabolic profiling revealed protein degradation, disrupted energy and lipid metabolism suggesting that the inclusion of EGCG ...

Efficiency control for multi-receiver inductive power transfer systems without knowing realtime coupling

open access: yesWireless Power Transfer
This study is centered on maintaining high efficiency within a multi-receiver system in the absence of real coupling information. It explores the derivation of an optimal driving current crucial for efficiency maximization, revealing its reliance on both

Quantum efficiency of single-photon sources in the cavity-QED strong-coupling regime

open access: yes, 2005
We calculate the integrated-pulse quantum efficiency of single-photon sources in the cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED) strong-coupling regime. An analytical expression for the quantum efficiency is obtained in the Weisskopf-Wigner approximation ...

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

Design of coupling system in fiber optic sensing measurement

open access: yesJournal of Measurement Science and Instrumentation, 2019
According to the principle of choosing the light source in the fiber optic sensing measurement, semiconductor laser is used as the light source of fiber optic sensor and single-mode fiber is used as the tail fiber of light source. Based on optical design
