Optimization of Magnetic Coupling Mechanism for Wireless Power Supply of High-Voltage Transmission Line On-Line Monitoring Equipment

open access: yesZhongguo dianli, 2021
Real-time and accurate on-line monitoring of high-voltage transmission lines is an effective means to ensure the stable operation of power grids. Magnetic coupling resonance wireless power supply is a feasible solution to the power supply problem of on ...

Towards Low Cost Coupling Structures for Short-Distance Optical Interconnections [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The performance of short distance optical interconnections in general relies very strongly on coupling structures, since they will determine the overall efficiency of the system to a large extent.

Efficient, broadband and compact metal grating couplers for silicon-on-insulator waveguides [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Metal grating couplers for Silicon-on-Insulator waveguides are proposed. A silver grating coupler with 33% coupling efficiency is designed. A gold gating coupler prototype is fabricated using Focused Ion Beams demonstrating over 10% coupling efficiency. (

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Highly efficient coupling of photons from nanoemitters into single-mode optical fibers

open access: yes, 2011
Highly efficient coupling of photons from nanoemitters into single-mode optical fibers is demonstrated using tapered fibers. 7.4 +/- 1.2 % of the total emitted photons from single CdSe/ZnS nanocrystals were coupled into a 300-nm-diameter tapered fiber ...

Electron-phonon interaction via Pekar mechanism in nanostructures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We consider an electron-acoustic phonon coupling mechanism associated with the dependence of crystal dielectric permittivity on the strain (the so-called Pekar mechanism) in nanostructures characterized by strong confining electric fields. The efficiency

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Nanostructuring of LNOI for efficient edge coupling

open access: yesOptics Express, 2019
We present the design, fabrication and characterization of LNOI fiber-to-chip inverse tapers for efficient edge coupling. The etching characteristics of various LNOI crystal cuts are investigated for the realization of butt-coupling devices. We experimentally demonstrate that the crystal cut limits the performance of mode matching tapers.

Investigation on the Coupling of Vortex Beam Into Parabolic Fiber in Turbulent Atmosphere

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2019
Aiming at the demand for high-capacity wireless-fiber link, the coupling efficiency of Laguerre Gaussian (LG) vortex beam into parabolic fiber under atmospheric turbulence is first investigated.
