Resource Saving and Environmental Benefits From Cooking With Natural Fiber Handcrafted Boxes
Cooking meals in handcrafted boxes is commonly perceived as a more sustainable option than using hobs. This paper conducts a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) that substantiates this assumption, quantitatively demonstrating that meal preparation without the box can lead to significantly higher overall environmental impacts.

Engineering the 3′‐UTR of Tobacco Vein Mottling Virus to Confer Cross‐Protection Against Potyviruses
The 3′‐untranslated region (3′‐UTR) and its secondary structure of virus genomic RNA of tobacco vein mottling virus (TVMV) are important in symptoms attenuation, which can be engineered for cross‐protection against further viral infection. We provide experimental evidence that supports the roles of 3′‐UTR in potyvirus infection.

Bij Wageningen UR Glastuinbouw & Bloembollen in Bleiswijk is de BEST kas, een kas met noppenfolie in het kasdek, onderzoek gedaan naar een voorjaars- en najaarsteelt van gele courgette, ras ‘Golden Glory’. Het onderzoek was vooral gericht op beperking van het energie- en CO₂-gebruik. In het voorjaar is daarbij een productie van klasse I vruchten van 21.

The 2024 European Union report on pesticide residues in food
Abstract Under European Union legislation (Article 32, Regulation (EC) No 396/2005), the European Food Safety Authority publishes an annual report assessing pesticide residue levels in food. In 2024, 9842 samples were analysed as part of the EU‐coordinated multiannual control programme subset, of which 1.2% were found to be non‐compliant.
