Land cover changes with the development of anaerobic digestion for biogas production in France
Anaerobic digestion is developing in various countries worldwide to produce renewable energy. In addition, the resulting digestates provide readily available nutrients when applied to cropping systems as fertilizers. The introduction of a biogas plant on

Cover crop in the vineyard: effects of conservative sowing on the soil and environment system
noneIl seguente elaborato tratta il tema delle sempre più diffuse cover crop, o colture di copertura, nel caso specifico del loro impiego negli interfilari del vigneto con apposite tecniche di semina conservativa. Dopo una prima panoramica riguardante l’

Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Nitrogen dynamics with a rye cover crop
Winter cereal rye continues to be promoted as a viable cover crop within Iowa for corn and soybean production systems. Several environmental benefits accrue with use of cover crops, including reduction of nitrate in drainage water, soil erosion control ...

Nitrogen recovery from fertilizers and cover crops by maize crop under no-tillage system. [PDF]
Crop rotation associated with the use of cover crops promotes the introduction of crop residues to the soil, with direct and indirect effects on theavailability of plant nutrients, especially nitrogen (N).

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.
