On codes over ℤp2 and its covering radius

open access: yes, 2019
This paper gives lower and upper bounds on the covering radius of codes over [Formula: see text] with respect to Lee distance. We also determine the covering radius of various repetition codes over [Formula: see text]

Stand-Alone Containment Analysis of the Phébus FPT Tests with the ASTEC and the MELCOR Codes: The FPT-0 Test

open access: yesScience and Technology of Nuclear Installations, 2017
The integral Phébus tests were probably one of the most important experimental campaigns performed to investigate the progression of severe accidents in light water reactors. In these tests, the degradation of a PWR fuel bundle was investigated employing

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Z2Z4-Additive Perdect Codes in Steganography

open access: yes, 2011
Steganography is an information hiding application which aims to hide secret data imperceptibly into a cover object. In this paper, we describe a novel coding method based on Z2Z4-additive codes in which data is embedded by distorting each cover ...

Computational methods in codes and games [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This dissertation discusses exhaustive search algorithms and heuristic search methods in combinatorial optimization, including combinatorial games. In this work unidirectional covering codes are introduced and some theoretical foundations for them are ...

Color code decoder with improved scaling for correcting circuit-level noise [PDF]

open access: yesQuantum
Two-dimensional color codes are a promising candidate for fault-tolerant quantum computing, as they have high encoding rates, transversal implementation of logical Clifford gates, and resource-efficient magic state preparation schemes.

Toroidal boards and code covering [PDF]

open access: yesAustralas. J Comb., 2015
We denote by $\mathbb{F}_q$ the field with $q$ elements. A radius-$r$ extended ball with center in a $1$-dimensional vector subspace $V$ of $\mathbb{F}_q^3$ is the set of elements of $\mathbb{F}_q^3$ with Hamming distance to $V$ at most $r$. We define $c(q)$ as the size of a minimum covering of $\fqt$ by radius-$1$ extended balls. We define a semiqueen

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

A note on the covering radius of optimum codes

open access: yes, 1991
This paper gives a lower bound and an upper bound for the covering radius of optimum codes. The upper bound so obtained is better than other known upper bounds, restricted to optimum codes.

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.
