The Impact of Glycation on Protein Digestibility

open access: yesChemFoodChem, EarlyView.
Schematic overview of how protein glycation affects digestibility and downstream nutritional consequences. Glycation‐derived structural modifications reduce protease accessibility, leading to limited hydrolysis and altered peptide generation. These changes decrease amino acid bioavailability and may subsequently contribute to microbiome alterations ...

Towards an evaluation of the quality of the cow maternal interactions with the calf in the early hours postpartum. [PDF]

open access: yes
openNowadays, in dairy farms, the most common practice in the cow-calf management is the early separation right after birth or within the 24h after parturition.

Antimicrobial Peptides and Peptidomimetics in Foods – A Synthetic Foray

open access: yesChemFoodChem, EarlyView.
This Review discusses AMPs in foods and their syntheses. It espouses facile methods to make them accessible and suggests their utility in the mitigation and eradication of the burgeoning maladies of antimicrobial and multidrug resistance (AMR and MDR).

Valorizing phytogenic byproducts to reduce ruminant nitrogen footprint: From rumen to soil

open access: yesJournal of Agriculture and Food Research
The inefficient utilization of dietary nitrogen (N) in ruminant production drives substantial environmental pollution through ammonia volatilization, nitrate leaching, and nitrous oxide emissions.

Heteroaryl‐Iminoalkoxide Complexes of Tin(II): Structure‐Property Relationships Governing Volatility and Thermal Stability

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A family of heteroaryl‐iminoalkoxide Sn(II) complexes has been synthesized to investigate structure‐property relationships relevant to atomic layer deposition and metal‐organic vapor deposition. Systematic modification of the ligand architecture reveals a strong influence on volatility and thermal stability for the parent metal complexes.

Exploring Cultural and Individual Differences in the Hierarchy of Moral Concern: Evidence From Student Samples Across 41 Cultural Groups

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Social Psychology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Many important historical and contemporary ethical debates (e.g., on slavery, abortion and environmental protection) reflect disagreements about what we owe to different groups of individuals. Recent work in moral psychology has uncovered a seemingly replicable hierarchy of moral concern, but these studies were conducted in a few countries ...

Duct‐level evaluation of mammary gland health, somatic cell count and bacterial flora in lactating jennies

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Assessing mammary gland health in donkeys is challenging due to the lack of species‐specific diagnostic criteria for subclinical mastitis. Although somatic cell count (SCC) is widely used in dairy ruminants, its diagnostic value in jennies remains unclear.
