Chondrosarcomas are rare in cattle and none has been described in detail. A 30 cm diameter chondrosarcoma centred upon the costochondral junctions of the left 9th to 12th ribs of a 5-year-old Aberdeen Angus cow is described. In areas with a cartilaginous matrix the chondrocytes were plump, sometimes binucleate, sometimes bizarre, with occasionally 2 or

Abstract Short-lived Ga68 can be prepared from its long-lived parent, Ge68, thus providing a convenient source of positron-emitting activity for medical or other applications. Solvent extraction is used for the rapid separation of the gallium daughter and a method for the production of the germanium parent is given.

A mass involving the maxilla of a cow was determined to be an osteosarcoma. Microscopically, the mass was composed of plump pyriform cells aligned along thin trabeculae of osteoid. Osteosarcoma rarely develops in large animal species, but when it does, it is usually found in the skull and must be differentiated from more common diseases, such as ...

A stochastic extension of COWS is presented. First the formalism is given an operational semantics leading to finitely branching transition systems. Then its syntax and semantics are enriched along the lines of Markovian extensions of process calculi. This allows addressing quantitative reasoning about the behaviour of the specified web services.
