[Preparation and characterization of monoclonal antibody against CP4-EPSPS].
Xi bao yu fen zi mian yi xue za zhi = Chinese journal of cellular and molecular immunology, 2011To prepare monoclonal antibody (mAb) against CP4-EPSPS, which could be applied to the development of gold colloidal rapid diagnostic kit for the specific detection of GMO.BALB/c mice were immunized with CP4-EPSPS. Splenocytes of the immunized mice were collected and fused with the mouse myeloma cell line Sp2/0 cells.

The introduction of genetically modified (GM) crops into the market has raised a general alertness relating to the control and safety of foods. The applicability of protein separation hyphenated to mass spectrometry to identify the bacterial enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase (CP4 EPSPS) protein expressed in GM crops has been previously reported

Protein-based detection methods, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) and lateral flow strips, have been widely used for rapid, specific, and sensitive detection of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). However, the traditional ELISA method for the quantitative detection of GMOs has certain limitations.

Abstract Glyphosate treatments to glyphosate-resistant (GR) cotton have been associated with poor pollination and increased boll abortion. Anatomical studies were conducted to characterize the effect of glyphosate treatments on the development of male and female reproductive organs of cotton flowers at anthesis.
