Eicosapentaenoic acid induces DNA demethylation in carcinoma cells through a TET1-dependent mechanism [PDF]
In cancer cells, global genomic hypomethylation is found together with localized hypermethylation of CpG islands within the promoters and regulatory regions of silenced tumor suppressor genes.

High density DNA methylation array with single CpG site resolution
We have developed a new generation of genome-wide DNA methylation BeadChip which allows high-throughput methylation profiling of the human genome. The new high density BeadChip can assay over 480K CpG sites and analyze twelve samples in parallel. The innovative content includes coverage of 99% of RefSeq genes with multiple probes per gene, 96% of CpG ...

We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

Correlation analyses of CpG island methylation of cluster of differentiation 4 protein with gene expression and T lymphocyte subpopulation traits [PDF]
Objective Cluster of differentiation 4 protein (CD4) gene is an important immune related gene which plays a significant role in T cell development and host resistance during viral infection.

Methylation status of Dnmt1 promoter depends on poly(ADP-ribosy)lation [PDF]
Research is focused on CpG islands and on the mechanism that poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation uses to defend the unmethylated state of these important DNA sequences which are located in the promoter regions of the housekeeping genes having a role of transcription ...

Abundant quantitative trait loci exist for DNA methylation and gene expression in human brain.
A fundamental challenge in the post-genome era is to understand and annotate the consequences of genetic variation, particularly within the context of human tissues.

Pancancer analysis of DNA methylation-driven genes using MethylMix. [PDF]
Aberrant DNA methylation is an important mechanism that contributes to oncogenesis. Yet, few algorithms exist that exploit this vast dataset to identify hypo- and hypermethylated genes in cancer.

Objective Foot orthoses are thought to improve pain by potentially modifying internal mechanical forces. To test this, we explored whether foot orthoses can modify patterns of bone marrow lesions (BMLs) in people with midfoot pain. Methods Forty‐two people were recruited with midfoot pain, and magnetic resonance imaging–confirmed midfoot BMLs ...
