Enhanced collectivity along the N=Z line: Lifetime measurements in 44Ti, 48Cr, and 52Fe
Lifetimes of the 21+ states in 44Ti, 48,50Cr, and 52Fe were determined with high accuracy exploiting the recoil distance Doppler-shift method. The reduced E2 transition strengths of 44Ti and 52Fe differ considerably from previously known values.

Hydrogen isotope analysis of coal is an important tool in the geochemical analysis of coal. The traditional method of hydrogen isotope analysis of coal requires the oxidation of organic matter bound hydrogen in coal to water by an oxidizing agent and ...

Rotation alignment in neutron-rich Cr isotopes: A probe of deformed single-particle levels across N=40 [PDF]
Recent experiments have reached the neutron-rich Cr isotope with N = 40 and confirmed enhanced collectivity near this subshell. The current data focus on low-spin spectroscopy only, with little information on the states where high-j particles align their

Efficacy of Trophic Transfer of Radioactive and Stable Isotopes of Metals to Zoobenthos-Feeding Fish of the Yenisei River [PDF]
Accumulation of radioactive and stable isotopes of metals in trophic chain of the Yenisei River leading to zoobenthivorous fish species, dace (Leuciscus leuciscus baicalensis) and grayling (Thymallus arcticus), have been investigated.

Deformation around Neutron-Rich Cr Isotopes in Axially Symmetric Skyrme-Hatree-Fock-Bogoliubov Method [PDF]
We analyse the deformation mechanism in neutron-rich Cr, Fe and Ti isotopes with N = 32–44 using a Skyrme-Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov mean-field code employing a twodimensional mesh representation in the cylindrical coordinate system.

Decay properties of 68,69,70Mn: Probing collectivity up to N=44 in Fe isotopic chain
The β decays Mn68→Fe68, Mn69→Fe69 and Mn70→Fe70 have been measured at the RIBF facility at RIKEN using the EURICA γ spectrometer combined with an active stopper consisting of a stack of Si detectors.

Trivalent chromium isotopes in the eastern tropical North Pacific oxygen-deficient zone
Significance Chromium isotopes have been used to study ancient earth atmospheric oxygen levels and seem promising as a paleoredox proxy. However, few studies have focused on its cycling in the modern ocean.

Cr isotope fractionation factors for Cr(VI) reduction by a metabolically diverse group of bacteria [PDF]
Abstract Reduction of Cr(VI) is an important process that determines the geochemical behavior, mobility and bioavailability of Cr in both terrestrial and marine environments. Many metabolically diverse microorganisms possess Cr(VI) reduction capacity.

A close relationship between CM and CO chondrites has been suggested by previous petrologic and isotopic studies, leading to the suggestion that they may originate from similar precursor materials or even a common parent body.
