Chains on CR Manifolds and Lorentz Geometry [PDF]
Transactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1988 We show that two nearby points of a strictly pseudoconvex CR manifold are joined by a chain. The proof uses techniques of Lorentzian geometry via a correspondence of Fefferman. The arguments also apply to more general systems of chain-like curves on CR manifolds.

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis
FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.

Colloquium Mathematicum, 1993 The notion of a CR-submanifold of an \(S\)-manifold was introduced by the reviewer [Stud. Cercet. Mat. 35, 127-136 (1983; Zbl 0516.53044)]. In the paper under review, the normality of such a submanifold is defined. Necessary and sufficient conditions for a CR-submanifold of an \(S\)- manifold to be normal are given.

Transcripts enriched in codons that trigger P‐site tRNA‐mediated mRNA decay possess stable mRNA
FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.PTMD codons were first described by Mendel et al. as mediators of an mRNA decay pathway dependent on the human protein CNOT3, homologous to yeast Not5. Our findings confirm that PTMD codons destabilize transcripts; however, unlike in yeast, the human pathway specifically targets and slightly destabilizes primarily stable mRNAs.
