Gugwilx'ya'ansk and goats: Indigenous perspectives on governance, stewardship and relationality in mountain goat (mati) hunting in Gitga'at territory

open access: yesPeople and Nature, Volume 7, Issue 5, Page 1011-1024, May 2025.

Elemental Geochemistry of Tidal Marsh Sediment and Its Potential as an Indicator of Sea‐Level Change in Cascadia

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, Volume 26, Issue 5, May 2025.
Abstract Holocene sea‐level reconstructions from tidal marshes are commonly derived from proxy indicators that have a consistent and quantifiable relationship with tidal elevation. While microfossils are most commonly employed, using multiple indicators leads to more robust reconstructions.

Determination of S‐Allele Combination in an Italian Apple (Malus × domestica Borkh.) Germplasm Core Collection

open access: yesPlant Breeding, Volume 144, Issue 2, Page 249-256, April 2025.
ABSTRACT An S‐RNase‐based gametophytic self‐incompatibility (GSI) system, a mechanism that forces outbreeding by preventing self‐fertilization, characterizes the genus Malus. Knowledge of the self‐incompatibility (S) genotypes of apple cultivars is crucial for choosing pollen donors for fruit production and breeding.

Visual and supersensitive detection of E. pyrifoliae infection in pear trees through dot enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay and colloidal gold immunochromatographic strip techniques

open access: yesNew Plant Protection, Volume 2, Issue 1, March 2025.
A colloidal gold immunochromatographic strip (CGICS) assay using the obtained MAbs as the detection antibodies was established for quickly, easily, visually, supersensitively, and accurately detecting E. pyrifoliae infection. Abstract Asian pear fire blight, caused by Erwinia pyrifoliae, is a devastating disease affecting pear trees.
