Constraint effect on corrosion fatigue crack growth behavior of A100 ultrahigh strength steel

open access: yesJournal of Aeronautical Materials
Ultrahigh strength steel has been widely used to manufacture aircraft landing gear and other load-bearing structures, which is prone to corrosion fatigue failure when serving in harsh marine environment.

Effect of gradient of stress intensity factor at a crack tip on fatigue crack growth and correction method for the effect

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2014
The stress intensity factor can be applied as an evaluation parameter of crack growth under small-scale yielding conditions. Moreover, the stress intensity factor corrected by the plastic zone correction can potentially be used as an evaluation parameter

Interlaminar crack growth in fiber reinforced composites during fatigue, part 3 [PDF]

open access: yes
Interlaminar crack growth behavior in fiber-reinforced composites subjected to fatigue loading was investigated experimentally and theoretically. In the experimental phase, inter-laminar crack propagation rates and mechanisms were determined for the ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Measurement and analysis of critical crack tip processes during fatigue crack growth [PDF]

open access: yes
The mechanics of fatigue crack growth under constant-amplitudes and variable-amplitude loading were examined. Critical loading histories involving relatively simple overload and overload/underload cycles were studied to provide a basic understanding of ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

RESEARCH ON FATIGUE CRACK PROPAGATION OF LEAF SPRING UNDER VARIABLE AMPLITUDE LOAD

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2021
The prediction model of leaf springs fatigue crack growth under variable amplitude loads is mainly Schütz phenomenological model. However, the effect of the crack closure effect on fatigue crack propagation and the relationship between the parameters and

Effects of Crack Opening Behavior on Crack Growth Rate after Overload

open access: yesJournal of Solid Mechanics and Materials Engineering, 2008
It is well known that a single tensile overload applied during constant stress amplitude cycling at a positive stress ratio causes crack growth retardation. In the case of a negative stress ratio, however, the fatigue crack growth rate actually accelerated after a tensile overload.
