A unique fracture in fatigue of age-hardened Al alloys and its macro and microscopic aspects
There are many studies reported that a fatigue crack propagated in a tensile mode macroscopically and the fracture surface was mainly occupied by striations in many metals.

The crack-induced changes in the vertical transient response of a rotating shaft–disc system, Jeffcott rotor, are investigated for transverse crack detection. The crack is considered as a breathing crack.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Growth mechanism of a fatigue crack of extruded high strength Al alloy 7075-T6 in high humidity
Effect of humidity on the growth mechanism of a fatigue crack in an age-hardened Al alloy was investigated in relative humidity environments of 25% and 85% at loading frequencies of 50Hz and 6Hz.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Crack Damage Identification of Pantograph Upper Frame Elbow Joint Based on Strain Mode
ObjectiveThe structural safety of pantograph has a significant impact on the operational reliability of trains. Fatigue cracks are prone to occur at the elbow joints of pantograph on high-speed trains.

FRACTURE CRITERIA FOR COMBINED MODE CRACKS
The complex variable method is employed to analyse the energy release rate for combined mode cracks. A functional integral equation, which contains no singularity, is derived for a branched crack problem by a functional transformation. The integrand φ_1'(z) is expanded in eigenfunctions. The energy fracture criterion for the combined mode (K_Ⅰ and K_Ⅱ)

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.
