Crack Type and Severity as Indications of Shell Quality

open access: yesPoultry Science, 1982
Abstract Egg samples were taken weekly for candling from two flocks of commercial hybrid laying hens (one white and one brown) from 20 to 80 weeks of age. Any cracks were subjectively classified according to type and severity. Egg specific gravity and shell deformation values were recorded for subsamples of the eggs.

Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) in a Patient With Compound Heterozygous OPA1 Variants: Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.
