A unified framework for classical and quantum uncertainty relations using stochastic representations

open access: yesCommunications Physics
Thermodynamic uncertainty relations (TURs) and kinetic uncertainty relations (KURs) provide tradeoff relations between measurement fluctuation and thermodynamic cost, such as entropy production and activity.

Properties of discrete Fisher information: Cramer-Rao-type and log-Sobolev-type inequalities. [PDF]

open access: yesCoRR, 2019
The variance and the entropy power of a continuous random variable are bounded from below by the reciprocal of its Fisher information through the Cram\'{e}r-Rao bound and the Stam's inequality respectively. In this note, we introduce the Fisher information for discrete random variables and derive the discrete Cram\'{e}r-Rao-type bound and the discrete ...

Cramer-Rao Inequality for Fisher Information and Zeros of the Wavefunction

open access: yes, 2019
The Cramer-Rao inequality (which is based on a Cauchy-Schwarz result for inner products of vectors) links spatial variance to Fisher information. The inner products are integrals in this case, and it seems the entire bound state space is utilised and use is made of a vanishing wavefunction at endpoints.

Lightweight event camera inertial fusion pose estimation with Cramer Rao lower bound analysis

open access: yesDiscover Computing
To address the limitations of traditional frame-based PnP algorithms—such as motion blur, limited dynamic range, and high computational complexity under high-speed motion and extreme illumination changes—this paper proposes the Event-PNP algorithm ...

Remarks on Cramer-Rao type integral inequalities for randomly censored data

open access: yes, 1995
Cramer-Rao type integral inequalities for the integrated risk, for estimators for parameters based on ramdomly censored data, are derived. As applications, lower bounds for the locally asymptotic minimax risk for estimators of parameters in the exponential and Weibull case for the proportional hazard model, are obtained and locally minimax estimators ...

Generalized Cramer–Rao inequality in the case of joint direction finding by azimuth and elevation angle in a complex electromagnetic environment

open access: yesJournal of Radio Electronics
In this work, a generalized expression is obtained for the Cramer–Rao lower bound in the case of a joint estimation of azimuth and elevation angle in an arbitrary coordinate system in which the vector complex radiation pattern is determined, under conditions of a complex electromagnetic environment, including the presence of noise correlation in ...
